I wasn’t used to the ease at which the bugs got in (this is not the owners fault, just part of being in the woods) and the stone steps from the driveway to the actual steps are not optimal, in my opinion. ”It was clean. It had a beautiful drive to it and it was tucked up in the woods. It would be nice if there was curtains, but that is OK. You are surrounded by trees. Enjoyed our visit. Has a very cute town nearby. Wasn’t in the house very much was enjoying all the scenery.”

”We had a fabulous time here! This was a great location. Not only was it close to historic sites, downtown Harper’s Ferry, but we also thoroughly enjoyed the river (as did our dog!). While this is a back unit to the host's home, they were were hospitable, friendly, made an effort to give us privacy and allowed us full use of all the amenities. We were concerned about privacy, but had no issues and would absolutely recommend this place. It was also a great neighborhood for our dog to walk/run...

”The cabin was small but cute and very well equipped. The setting was stunning. A shaded grassy yard leads to the river, which was beautiful and had a view of the mountains. The river was swift but very shallow. Not deep enough to kayak or canoe but perfect for a beach chair with your feet in the water. Watch the weather because there’s a very low and narrow bridge you have to cross to get in/out of the area. It was flooded when we left but we got out just in time. Again, gorgeous...

”Our stay at Bala’s home was wonderful. The location right on the river is perfect for a relaxing getaway. A very close drive to the National Park and Front Royal. The home is updated nicely and amenities are well stocked, above average kitchen supplies from the typical vacation rental. Do note that there are no tvs in the bedrooms which we appreciated but some may not. Overall it was great. ”

”Property was as shown in the listing. Owner was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Really close to Front Royal for groceries and restaurants, but feels secluded. We weren't able to swim because the river was a bit high, but the steps down to the river are a cool hike with pretty rock formations. There were tons of fireflies in July for our kid to chase, and a big flat grassy area if you like lawn games. The outdoor fireplace was def better than a fire pit in terms of steering the smoke...

”We had an amazing time at this cabin along the Shenandoah River. It was a very private secluded area. We enjoyed the wildlife and sounds of the birds as we drank our morning coffee/tea. The driveway entrance was a little tricky getting in and out of and we were thankful that we did not encounter anyone else on the private lane from the 2 other cabins there. Cabin was stocked with essentials. I would say that it was a bit dusty here and there but that is life in the woods. You could see...

”Our family loves this place. There's a ton of room for us to spread out, an indoor pool, and lots of yard and trails to walk around. Checkin and property management is top notch. We have been coming here every year since Covid times, and they seem to be adding small improvements every time. It's always super clean. I love that it's pet friendly. I enjoyed morning coffee with my dogs on the deck overlooking the mountain. Having the brewery next door is nice. The indoor pool is always a favorite....

”This property was quite wonderful. Nice and quiet. An abundance of wildlife visited while we were there. Deer with their babies chipmunks, plenty of birds. I even had a coyote run across the backyard. The property was literally 20 minutes from everywhere. A nice added touch was that there was only TV in the bedrooms. The sun room and deck were great to just sit and relax. Highly recommend booking this property if you just want to get away for a weekend wind down ”

”Didn’t know what to expect, but regardless I was blown away. The place is VERY well furnished with everything you need to enjoy your stay. It was the perfect place to come back home to and relax after a long day. The owner was also amazing, she left a few chocolates and a welcome note. She was also an amazing communicator, I didn’t need too many things, but the things I did need, she accommodated instantly. 10/10, this place is phenomenal ”
