There was a hot tub in room that was a bit loud while heating up but a funky thing to do while you watched tv, the room is cut into the rock and called the cave. My husband enjoyed the steam shower feature the most. Many stairs to get to room. The staff were so welcoming with a welcome drink and departing gift. ”This was the most relaxing stay! We were deep in the countryside in our own stone village with great amenities and fresh bread, fruit, cheese, jam and honey for our kitchen every day. No restaurant on site or in walking distance but it was fun and challenging diving around exploring the region on back roads to get to the each town with its castle and church. ”

”Charming beautifully decorated cottages. We enjoyed fire place, deck, library, and pottery workshop. There is a delicious healthy breakfast served in the cafe every morning. Staff is incredibly nice and helpful. We hiked to a nearby village. We will definitely come back. ”

”Beautiful villa, very well equipped, lovely family who were so helpful throughout our stay. Despite the very high temperature outside the villa stayed lovely and cool. Nice small shop 3 min walk away with many of the staples. Coimbra is a great town 25 mins away for days and nights out, great restaurants and supermarkets. Def need car to get about. ”

”Staff were very nice. Rooms were simple but effective. Heating was working (some reviews dud not understand that there was a switch on the side as well as he temp control.) hot water also good. Fridge, basic cooking equipment plates etc. Bring a corkscrew and a small coffee percolator if you need them. Towels and bed sheets with a duvet all clean etc. ”

"It was an unique and romantic place to stay. The staff was friendly and eager to help with anything. This is one of our favourite places so far. Bathroom was spacious and had a luxury-feel to it. Breakfast was a bit compact, but thats understandable due to the size of the hotel. Location was great, right next to local shops & restaurants."
