”This was an incredible place to stay! The hosts were the best we have had to interact with. The area was full of things to do. We played golf at the Sebasco Resort twice during our stay. You can’t beat getting lobsters at Watson’s General Store on Cundy’s Harbor. The Friendly Cottage had all we needed to cook and prepare all our culinary needs. We will be back!”

”We have our own vacation rentals so I know the challenges. I would suggest a single serve coffee maker. Easy to care for provides far better coffee and options for coffee flavors in the “pods”. Instant coffee is just not good… Great place. Loved the steamer! Thanks for the snacks!”

”This property was ideal for our needs of 10 people ages 25-96 from 5 states. Beautiful beach location with enough space for fun, common areas and comfortable, private space for everyone including private baths.The hot-tub photo on the website should be deleted as that does not exist and a few details need attention such as waste baskets in bathrooms and bedrooms, kitchen towels, etc but overall well stocked and functional. Would recommend and hope to visit again if we need space for a large...

”Great, comfortable place to stay. The location is super walkable. There are several bars/restaurants very close, and other areas are close enlighten to walk to as well (I.e. Congress Street). Commercial is a bit of a walk, but if you’re like us and love to walk a new area. It’s not that far. The bed is comfortable and the place was very clean. Communication was great. We would stay here again!”

”Beds were very comfortable. Parking was a little difficult. 3rd floor was a little tough on my 83 year old mother. But it was clean and roomy and close to downtown shopping and touristy attractions.”

”We had another terrific stay at this property. Its location is terrific and it has everything we needed and then some. We especially love having a garage to park in. Communication with the hosts was great. If you are interested in a top-notch lakefront home, you won’t be disappointed. ”

The property is lined with trees/vegetation providing privacy and the location was central to the area allowing easy navigation to all of Portland. Just 10 minutes from the Jetway and the wharf. The property owner was communicative & the check-in process couldn't have been easier.”

Close to everything you might want to do for hiking and excursions but once you're sitting on the deck at the lake you really feel like you've "gotten away". ”We loved our stay at this condo. The location is fantastic! It’s in downtown and so many places to go within very short walking distance. We did not rent a car because there was no need. We even did a wine tasting sail boat tour (highly recommend but reserve in advance because it sells out quickly) and we walked to the ocean but took an Uber back. Less than 10. The condo itself was very nice. Super comfy beds and very clean. A lot of stairs to walk but manageable. We had an issue when we got...

”We loved the lake house. It was so peaceful and quiet. The lake was beautiful. We floated in our tubes, sat in our camp chairs that we brought and read our books. My favorite things were hearing and seeing the loons, the pileated woodpeckers at the feeders and the magical pathway walk down to the lake. My son lives about 15 minutes away and it was so nice to be close by to him, Portland and Windham. We enjoyed eating dinner out on the deck as well. ”

”Lovely little space for a getaway. Beautiful views at all times of day. Well appointed studio. Had everything we needed. Great little coffee shop and a convenience store nearby. Great restaurants and sightseeing close by as well. Highly recommend! Hosts stayed in touch and responded very quickly. Very quiet area. The few neighbors we met were all lovely people. Can’t wait to come back. ”
