”House was beautiful, lovely decor and furniture. Deck was well appointed with hot tub, grill, patio set. Would have liked just slightly more privacy, side deck was visible from road so passersby could see us hanging out in the hot tub, a privacy screen to the roadside would be an excellent addition. Otherwise, private back area to woods which was nice. ”

”The house has a very large open living room upstairs, plenty of bedrooms for us. The backyard is large, although most of it fairly steep slope towards the lake. The lake was up several feet when we stayed, so the beach in the photos was under water. Pella is a 7-8 minute drive away. Overall we liked the property.”

Check in and out was a breeze! Plenty of space to park the boat at night. Wonderful!!!! Allowed the grandkids space and time to be with Grandma and Grandpa; what a blessing!”

Nearby Lake Rathbun is beautiful with great fishing, this house has large outdoor fire pit with seating and large picnic table with umbrella and a wrap-around deck. Inside is cosy and comfortable. It’s a great getaway place!”

”We had a great weekend relaxing and playing in the water. The cabins were so clean. There was a great variety of water toys for the whole family to enjoy. The kids loved the paddle boat, kayaks and the pool noodles. We spent a lot of time together jumping off the docks and floating around. The fire pit area was wonderful.”

Not too far from town If you needed something but far enough to feel like you were in the middle of nowhere, my husband and I came back refreshed, relaxed, very enjoyable. My favorite part was the screened in front porch.”

”The farmhouse that we stayed in was clean and beautifully decorated throughout with chicken and farm themes. The doilies and other touches made it feel like old times on a farm. We watched farm animals and farm activities. We relaxed, read books, roamed the farm, and enjoyed nightime firefly shows.The kitchen offered lots of snacks, fruit and freshly laid eggs.
