”Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price”

”Great property for our 2 night stay. Hobbiton around 20 minutes away by car. Plenty of restaurants in nearby Matamata. We particularly liked The Osteria recommended by Kylie our host. The property is spotlessly clean. Kylie provided us with a continental breakfast with freshly baked bread and homemade yoghurt. Kylie was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend ”

”We arrived at this cute home after 24 hours of travel. We were so exhausted and were going to go out to dinner but had zero energy. We realized the owner had left us some staple groceries including a loaf of bread, and jelly. I had packed a tub of peanut butter and some chips in my luggage so we had the best PBJs and relaxed! Bonus there was even a bottle of wine in the fridge :) The view around the back was spectacular.”

”We had a wedding nearby.We were allowed in slightly earlier which was very helpful as we needed to be at the wedding at 2:30 and had to get changed before hand.The house was very well equipped and dealing with the owner has been very easy”

”We had such a great stay at this house! It was super spacious and had a welcoming feel. There were plenty of games and puzzles to keep everyone entertained, which was a nice bonus. The welcome basket was a lovely touch and made us feel right at home. Kate was great with communication - clear instructions and quick to respond if we had any questions. Would definitely recommend and stay again!”

”From the moment we opened the front door we knew we had booked a great place. Everything was so nicely done and presented. The whole family felt very comfortable and at home. Would have loved to stay longer - will keep an eye out for it next time we staying there!”

”This is a very modern sleek townhouse. The parking is difficult unless you have a very small car. We did have on street parking which worked for the size of the van we had. The street however was very busy and could be difficult to get in and out of. The living space was wonderful. I didn't realize it was not right downtown in the are of tourism. It did have many convenient take aways and stores close by. Wilson was great to communicate with. Kitchen was minimally stocked. Worked for the time...
