”Our family absolutely adored this little slice of calm. We brought our 1 and 4 year old and truly got to connect as a family in ways we often aren't able to back in the "real world". No wifi puzzles and DVDs of the Disney classics. Our 4yo loved splashing in the creek just outside and both kids loves roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. ”Alone Mill Schoolhouse was very charming, had everything we needed for our stay, and the host who lived nearby was wonderful and welcoming. Check in and check out was about as easy as it gets! ”This place has potential, but there are several things that need to be done for the property to bring it up to the standard of a vacation rental. First and foremost, it needs a deep cleaning. We spent our first full day of vacation cleaning the kitchen and bathrooms. The beds are awful. Awful. The appliances are in need of replacement. ”We loved Love Ridge Mountain Lodge, we stayed at the Kennedy Ridge! It was clean and well kept! Communication was great with the owners and everything is available in the home! Very peaceful and relaxing! We even met Chester! The property cat, she is loving and hung out with us for a bit! Awesome experience, if you are visiting or from Virginia we recommend the lodge! ”

”It was a wonderful stay in a beautiful place, the condo was very cleaned and well maintained, and the owner is a very kind and wonderful person. If you are looking for a good place to just get away, this is the place. Will most certainly be returning here again.”

”My 2 small dogs and I really enjoyed staying at this lovely condo. The listing was highly accurate and the host was highly responsive to my messages about questions I had about the condo. The condo was well-stocked with supplies, including furniture covers for allowing pets on furniture. I highly recommend this property at Wintergreen if you are looking for a pet friendly, 1 bedroom condo with a nice wooded view from the living room and bedroom.”
