We were incredibly grateful for their extra efforts—fresh bread and homemade cakes to celebrate our anniversary were such a thoughtful touch. It was a joy to watch their daughter with her horses and to see the beautiful Highland cows. The tent was perfect upon arrival, and overall, we’d give Albert a 10/10 for his hospitality and care. Very comfortable, lots of space - we were so lucky to get our booking, and Travis was most welcoming and helpful. The house is within easy reach of wineries for meals/tastings - we would recommend Kies in Lyndoch, Kersbrook Wines and Mt Bera. Would love to come back again when the weather allows us to make good use of the open fires, rather than the air...

”Amazing !! Cosy winter cottage, yet modern, fresh decor & interior. Beautifully decorated, comfy beds & linen & fluffy luxurious towels. The breakfast provisions are incredible & the extras available in mini bar for purchase are convenient. 5 minutes to Hahndorf. We didn’t need fur baby friendly but if you do, it’s all here. Tracie us a delightful host.”

” A lovely cottage with so much style and history. Looks great in photos but even better in real life. It was so nice to stay in a freshly restored cottage but definitely not a cookie cutter decor. I also loved the town. I enjoyed a hot chocolate at Karkoo and great meal at the Oakbank hotel all within walking distance. Definitely recommend”

”Easy to enjoy. Staying in a renovated 160 year old building was great. The modern comforts of heating and cooling ensured a great stay. Help was close at hand but not in the way. Could not fault this place. The connection with history was still there in pictures and stories. Looking forward to June 2025 when this BnB features on television.”

”We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. We found it to be a luxurious house with gorgeous bedrooms, spacious kitchen and lounge areas. We really appreciated the comfort of ducted heating, off street parking, ensuite and main bathroom. The host was friendly, easy to contact and so prompt in answering any questions. Highly recommended. We'll be visiting again! ”
