”Property on a beautiful setting, very relaxing and peaceful. Property very nice and you have all you need there. The Hot tub a lovely added bonus overlooking the Somerset countryside. Really enjoyed our stay. ”

” We had a great time at the resort, the place was ideally situated for everything we wanted to do. The lodge was spacious and had all what we needed and the spa area also had all the amenities for anything you wanted to do. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was very good. My only gripe was that in the outside play area for the children, there was a football area to close to the childrens play area and the goal was that end, so at times the ball was going into the play area...

”We really enjoyed our short stay at the Carthouse. It's a lovely property in Axbridge, with Cheddar Gorge within easy reach. Communication with Val was excellent and also waited on the side of the road to show us the entrance to the side road. The Carthouse was spotlessly clean and Val had left several thoughtful items to get us started including bread, milk, wine and cider! Thank you Val, it was much appreciated. We'd have no hesitation in recommending this lovely property.”

”We had a lovely few days stay. Everything you need is in the kitchen, even as far as washing powder. The cottage is old so the stairs creak a bit but thats only to be expected. Beds comfortable as well as the sofas. It is a dog friendly cottage even supplying the dog bowls. The only thing we found is you have to drive to the beach to walk the dog as we didnt feel comfortable walking along the lanes.”

”We had a wonderful stay here. It was incredibly quaint, peaceful and clean. The location was perfect - close to all the key areas. We visited Bruton, Wells, Weston, Bath and Bristol. It took about a 30 minute walk to nearest pub. The little touches made all the difference, and the warm welcome (complete with Cider) was truly appreciated. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy, charming getaway. ”
