”We really enjoyed staying at MONday hotel. It is very conveniently located near Kyoto station with easy connections to plenty of historical places of Kyoto city. Hotel room was nice and clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Staff was very nice and both check in and check out were smooth.”

”I will not recommend this hotel to anyone bad communication. Prior booking they were not very clear on their policies and also they did not disclose that they will charge you a tax fee after you stayed, and it will have to be cash placed on the envelope and leave it on the mailbox down stairs on the entrance. Dryer took for ever to dry 5 hrs. They do not provide any detergent. It was very noisy. So hard to sleep at night to do the noise. We were locked out out of the hotel and could not enter...

”Room is big with 2 beds that could fit 2 persons each so me and my daughter slept comfortably. However, had the beds been a western single there could be more floor space for luggage and walking. Our bidet was faulty (runs out of water quickly so button had to be pressed often) but I didn’t let that bother me. Location is very convenient, in front of a major street, making me feel like a local but close/walkable to a lot of tourist sites. Lots of convenience stores around and bus stops are 1-2...

”The hotel location was excellent - close to the station and pretty central to the the key shrines, market and great food. Like all hotel rooms in Japan the rooms were small, but the amenities were nice and the rooms were clean and set up in a way to provide efficient use of space. We are a family of four - 2 teenagers in tow, so rooms with four beds were hard to find. Above all the staff were friendly and helpful. I received great recommendations for a vintage kimono shop and tea ceremony, both...
