”The "Isle of View" was the perfect location for my friends and I. Situated a little more than an hour from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, we were able to visit both cities and retreat to the quiet castle at night. The resident Hemingway cat that oversaw the property was very affectionate. Bring cat treats! We will stay again. Thank you Marcus.”

”We stayed the weekend for my husband's 50th birthday. The location is perfect. The cabin was very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. We walked to Middendorf's for dinner and the boat launch is a 5 min drive. It's on a side road and there is plenty of room to easily park with a boat in tow. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings and evenings. It was fun to watch the birds and the trains going through. Sunrises and sunsets are absolutely amazing in the swamp. ”This property was very nice and accommodating. Our host did a great job of communicating and staying in touch with us. The only small problem (which ended up not being a problem at all for us), is that the property is ONLY accessible by boat. They do provide a small barge for you to burrow and they offer a “boat taxi” service. Overall the experience was great, just be prepared for a tiny boat ride across the canal.”

”Creek is moving water so hardley any mosquito. Coldest creek in LA perfect for toddlers to play in the shallow water. Lots of small fish for kids to catch. The house has the essential for cooking pots pans etc. Because your 20mins from a McDonalds dont believe google when it says 10 mile. We came to LA to see family in the area. Would come back to this place when we come back to LA. ”

The location was perfect for visiting Louisana....close to New Orleans and not to far from Baton Rouge... The beds and couch were extremely comfy and we loved coming home for the day and just hanging out playing pool and board games.... The host and staff were very nice and always available. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends!”

”This was my second stay at Seabrook. All staff were very friendly and accomodating. The grounds had been freshly mowed Onsite restaurant makes it a good spot for a solo getaway or family trip. Slightly outside city traffic, but close enough to NOLA attractions/amenities.”

”This beautiful house had everything and more! The beds were so comfortable both my cousin and I dreaded returning to our own beds in Texas and Colorado! We slept like 20 year olds. The entire house was immaculate, and the kitchen was stocked with better utensils and pottery than I own. I have 1 suggestion for coffee lovers -- you need at least 2 larger coffee cups for your coffee maker, lol. Thank you for providing such a long-awaited and needed restful vacation abode. I told all my relatives...

”Our vacation 2025 in Lacombe, LA was one for the books for sure, seen and experienced things we never thought we would get to see and do. We have so many memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. The home was so beautiful and peaceful being on the water. We got to see alligators every day while we were staying. The home was so much more beautiful and awesome, the pictures do not show the true beauty this home offers. Laura the host, was the best host ever!! She provided just about everything...

”I echo all the 10/10 reviews. We too brought our e-bikes and took several wonderful rides around old Mandeville. The bike trails are the best I’ve ridden. Lake Pontchartrain shoreline is a short stroll away, and there are many nearby eateries and watering holes to experience. The cottage is awesome. The photos in the listing don’t do it justice. It was perfect for our stay.”
