”It was a lovely stay at this apartment. The unit is spacious, well equipped and clean. You have everything you need which is absolutely wonderful. Very convenient location with just 5-min walk to the nearby shopping centre. Check-in and check-out instructions were clear and efficient. ”Car park a treck if you have items to carry. Digital key code would not work setting alarm off. Told to wait 45 mins for someone to come and re set until she remembered emergency key in cupboard in hallway. Flat lovely inside however bathroom lock was broken and no cold water coming through the shower scalding us. Reported but nonresponse. Fans on and off from building next door. When going out in the morning seeing the entrance in daylight was horrible. Bins and just not a safe looking place....

”This stay at Blackthorn went above and beyond what I needed - some time and space for myself to write. In the comfort and peace of this hut in this location, I was able to write nearly 10,000 words, unheard of in my everyday busy life at home! ”It was just ok. Location was excellent for us which is a big plus but let down by poor communications (no response to phone calls or emails at all). Check in instructions were sent, but after check in time. ”Super cute, like being in your own romantic little bubble in the countryside. We came to watch a friend do a parachute jump at the airfield for charity. It was the perfect place to stay for a night or two. Loved the BBQ, the view through the windows and the way the space was designed. "I booked a room, which turned out to be very cold. I booked this premium hotel to be comfortable, and I wasn't. I called about this in the evening and they came to fix it. I also called in the morning, but no one came. I might be old-fashioned, but back in the day there would be immediate compensation for a satisfactory resolution, i.e. free breakfast. Something like this would have made up for the issue, but nothing was offered. Feels like "thank you for your £200+, we dont care how it was for you, we are just happy to have your money". There are cheaper hotels nearby for a matching comfort level. "
