”My family had a great weekend stay at the cottage. Overall the cottage was stocked and setup with everything we needed (with the exception of shampoo which I thought the ad stated was provided - I only found a few bars of soap). The beds and linens are crazy comfortable! The large sofa in the living room is perfect for large groups. We had a boat with us so the dock was amazing to have! Overall a great stay! A few details of the cottage are getting a little well used and will need updating...

”We took our annual trip with friends this year and the home was a wonderful retreat. It had everything that we required including 4 bedrooms with airconditioners, a fully equipped kitchen and a beautiful water view. The home is very comfy and spacious enough for a crowd. Smith Falls is the closest town with all facilities and groceries etc.Will definitely be back when we are in the area again. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful with all our queries. ”Cottage was amazing - very well maintained, "traditional" feel to it (original fittings, kitchen etc.). Front screened porch was our favourite place to relax, with an excellent view of the lake. New dock was a great place for morning coffee, and bbq on the side deck with a lake view was also a nice touch. Views from nearly all windows, including master bedroom. Host Erika was very helpful and accommodating. Would recommend to anyone for a cozy lake-side stay.”

”We loved our 3 days and 4 nights at The Dance Hall. The wood burning stove was enjoyed and appreciated as the weather was quite cool and wet. We loved listening and watching the loons, geese and herons from the dock. We did some paddling in the kayaks provided around islands not too far from shore. The cottage is filled with interesting antiques, cookbooks, a record player and records. We would love to come again. ”

”Potato island was absolutely perfect for our family, and we had a fun, relaxing week long stay. The cottage is older..rustic but very clean and had everything needed for prepping food. The surroundings are absolutely beautiful and peaceful, and we felt so mentally refreshed. The kids swam every day rain or shine, we went canoeing, read books, sat around the camp fire, played games, and the dogs had a blast running around the island. ”We were going to a wedding and we found this listing. Upon renting, we didn't realise just how amazing this place was. Such open spaces with incredible, newly-renovated everything. We felt so comfortable, and our only negative was that we weren't able to stay longer. The host was amazing and was easy to reach out before our stay.
