”We were traveling and storms were all around. This was our only available option as most hotels were booked. It is nothing fancy and location seems weird, but clean and safe.”

”The room was so disgusting I demanded to speak to the manager. After telling me there was nothing available they finally found me a room that was adequate to sleep in. Breakfast was just OK. Would not recommend.”

”Both the kickback meal and breakfast were excellent and saved us money by not having to eat out. The extra perks of unlimited soda and popcorn make the money spent on our room an even better value. Our room was clean and comfortable and the location was perfect for checking out the area. We would definitely stay here again if in Iowa city area in the future.”

”At check in, noise from water feature was so loud the receptionist and I had to shout at each other. To get to the converence center it was necessary to walk some distance throgh smoke filled casino. Buffet open only Thurs-Sun leaving only fance dinning or snack bar as options. Wait staff and service in fancy dinning slow and did not seem experienced, needing reminding what servicing pieces were needed.”

”Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is always good and the beds are very comfortable. Would stay at more Holiday Inn Express’ if they all accepted pets:)”

”Location is very convenient for shopping, restaurants, health care. We had stayed at this specific hotel in the past and were completely satisfied. This time, our room faced the highway and was not very quiet. Steps from train tracks with trains using their required horn when passing through crossings. There is no way to get around trains passing through overnight. The hotel was full, meaning paper thin walls having to be dealt with. It was a weeknight when we stayed. No rowdy guests. There was...

”Beautiful hotel with clean, pet friendly rooms. Breakfast was mediocre at best. Quite a few items were not available - yogurt, juices, oatmeal, peanut butter. Hotel is fairly remote from other businesses and not within walking distance of restaurants.”

”The hot tub falsely advertised on the listing was not available. The place was quite unkempt, but nothing bothered me more than the staff. If you are a person of color, DO NOT BOOK this hotel.”

”Our stay was great! We biked to this BnB from Cedar Rapids and Carl was so nice to give us a ride to the trail the next morning. I would definitely recommend!”

”This would've been a five star review but for the postage stamp size pillows. If you don't mind sleeping on a throw pillow great! But if you want something bigger this isn't the place for you. The hotel could at least provide a variety. One woman who asked for a regular size pillow never got it”

”First floor window didn't lock, was moves to a new room then that one had hair in tub drain and it drained slow, dental floss on floor, main areas smelled of smoke and had not been cleaned well for awhile. Only ice machine that worked was on 3rd floor. Would not return.”
