Within an hour you can be at the enchanting Côte d'Azur beaches in the south or at the impressive Gorges de Verdon in the north, where adventure awaits with climbing, scrambling and rafting. Around Lorgues, beautiful villages are eager to be discovered, such as the high-altitude Tourtour, also known as the 'village in the sky'. Enjoy lunch in Flayosc or Villecroze or give the tree-climbing park in Vidauban or Flassans-sur-Issole a try. For culture and refreshment, visit the imposing Cistercian abbey of Le Thoronet. The Côte d'Azur's most beautiful sandy beaches are at Fréjus and Saint-Tropez, while golfers will enjoy the nearby 18-hole courses.
