NEW LISTING!: Charming 3,000 sf 100 year old English Cottage house in Pasadena on Orange Grove Blvd. This is a beautiful home and property to enjoy family reunions, shared vacations, or elegant intimate getaways, inside or outside, with a gourmet kitchen, formal dining room, living room with Batchelder fireplace, outdoor garden dining, outdoor grilling, 4 smart TVs, etc. 1st floor: 2,000 sf w/ a living room & Batchelder fireplace, dining room, kitchen, office, 3 bedrooms (one w/ a 1/2 bath) & main bathroom. 2nd floor: 1,000 SF w/master bedroom, family room w/kitchenette, and a bathroom/shower. Ample residential street parking . The back garden & 400 sf, 1 bedroom fully self-contained guest cottage are completely fenced in & can be rented also if available. Close to The Rose Bowl, Huntington Gardens, The Norton Simon Museum, the Gamble House, Lake Avenue and Old Town Pasadena. 4 blocks to the 210 Fwy and Metro Gold line. Complimentary Fluff n'Fold service with 24 hour turnaround.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING WHICH WE MUST UNFORTUANETLY HIGHLIGHT:
1) PARTIES/SOCIAL EVENTS: In accordance with VRBO policy, there is a STRICT BAN on all kinds of mass gatherings, loud parties, and the like. This home is located in a quiet and peaceful residential neighborhood with retirees on all four sides. Violation of this policy will result in cancellation of the reservation without any refund, and you will be asked to immediately leave the property. You will be responsible if the City is notified and imposes a $1,300 fine for such activity.

2) SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed inside the house anywhere at all. Smoking is allowed outside. If any trace of smoke is found inside the home, there will be a strictly enforced $250 fee to get rid of residual odors.

3) PETS: We welcome furry friends but please note there will be a $100 fine for any damage or stains caused by pets.

Perfect home for family event

We hosted a family event for the holidays and the home was perfect for our group. The house was decorated for the holidays, including the table being set for dinner. Charles was incredibly accommodating and a pleasure to work with. This home is truly charming and welcoming.

A pleasant time in Pasadena.

This place is amazing. Quiet, neat, and centrally located for many of the nice things to do in Pasadena. The maintenance man (Ernie) was there fixing a few things and guided us in the use of the AC units. The weather was absolutely gorgeous which allowed us to use the front yard, which was the perfect place for us to relax - probably the most used room. The house was set up for 5 families to have their own rooms. We brought dogs (3) and the house was equipped with water bowls and an area for the dogs to run around and play. The neighborhood is a great area with friendly neighbors and well groomed yards. If your dog likes to chase squirrels keep your dog on the leash. The only two downers for us was: there was no laundry services (washer and dryer), making it a bit harder for an extended stay. The kitchen equipment (blender) was a outdated as well as the lack on pots and pans. At least what we could find. The ovens, stove, and the frig are new - with the frig having an ice machine and filtered water. When in Pasadena we would rent this house again.

Great home for extended family gathering

Conveniently located in beautiful Pasadena neighborhood for wedding venue in Highland Park. 6 adults and 3 children ages 72 to 1 year old easily accommodated in this large home. Excellent communication with host!

Thanksgiving Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at this historic home for the holiday weekend. A charming home and neighborhood to walk around. A bonus was we were able to have our dog with us. Charles was great with communication. We have stayed in historic homes & hotels so we know that means not everything may be shiny & new-which we are fine with. The woodwork and charm of home make up for it. But I think some people may not understand that based on some of the property reviews. We loved having the dining room area as friends joined us for dinner two nights. My only suggestion is to have some comfy throw blankets for the living room. It was a bit chilly while there and that would have been nice. Oh and do be sure to understand no washer/drier on the property but there is a laundry service if needed. We didn’t for such a short trip. But we would definitely stay again-loved sitting on the front porch with coffee and a book looking out at the garden and with wine in evening. Very relaxing! I have a 4 star for cleanliness because discovered popcorn mess under the couch in living room-I investigated because our dog went right to it when we arrived. But I’m sure Charles will be speaking with his cleaning service. He was very apologetic. Everything else seemed clean & in order!

Great spot and great host

The house was large and great for our family and the adjoining cottage was a perfect addition. Charles, our host, was really helpful, super responsive and very gracious. Super place to stay!

Safety concerns

Arriving around midnight, the front porch lighting was, in our opinion, woefully inadequate. There were loose extension cords, one under the front door mat. Many etension cords ran along baseboards. The upstairs shower floor was very slippery and downstairs shower curtain didn't enclose the tub. We were quite disappointed.

Quaint Older Home in Nice Neighborhood

We chose this house for a family reunion and 10 of us stayed. Mostly clean and relaxing The rooms were roomy and accommodated all of our group. We had 10 stay and were able to gather around the dinner table and outside. There were many chairs and outdoor furniture. The house is on a main street, but when sitting in the yard with the large trees it's pleasant and you don't notice the traffic. The kitchen was big and plenty of room for fixing big meals and gathering. We could have used more wash cloths, plug-ins, a night light in the upstairs hall, a grab bar in the main downstairs bath, batteries were low or not working on some of the remotes. It was a great neighborhood for walking, shopping was close, and easy to access freeways and get to our family reunion events. It was a nice visit and I'd consider renting again from this host if needing room for a large group.

We used this house to stay near our wedding venue and it was perfect. This is a beautiful house with lots of room, detail, and character. Charles was very responsive to our questions. We enjoyed our stay immensely and would book again.

Beautiful Place for Mid-Size Event

I’m from out of state and we were looking to hold a Celebration of Life for my mom in California. I didn’t want it at a funeral home or banquet hall so I thought I could book a VRBO. And we were so fortunate to find this wonderful house that could house the the out of town guests and provide ample room for 50 people who attended the event. The setting is a beautiful garden where we had dining tables, dessert tables, and sign in table. There is also plenty of street parking. This would be a wonderful space for a small wedding, bridal shower, or any event where you would like a beautiful natural setting. Thank you so much for allowing us to honor our mom in your beautiful home and garden.

Great property, great owner and great communication! Great overall! 5+!!!

Charles was very communicative throughout the process: questions on booking, questions after booking, questions during my stay-he contacted me all throughout. He was very helpful and generous for my 50th birthday stay. I cannot thank him enough, the property was clean, spacious and had all the amenities to not have to go while cooking nightly. Thank you so much Charles, I will not hesitate to stay again if the opportunity arises!
