We were so pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It’s right by the freeway and we only booked as a place to crash while visiting nearby family, but it was actually pretty stylish and very comfortable. A lot of bang for the buck, including a heated pool, fire pits, an onsite restaurant and bar, and a location near a trailhead. My only real complaints: no lunch service (which wasn’t convenient while we were working), bad shower pressure (and only moderately warm water the first night), and the food is just OK. But overall we’d definitely go back! I even think it’s a cute spot for an unpretentious staycation. I loved the pool (which was warm enough to get into even on a 69 degree day.) And they built a big stone wall behind the pool to block the freeway noise. All you see it’s rolling hills and Oaks. You’d think you were in the country instead of right next to the 101. If you go, visit Rose’s Garden Bar for lunch. Really fun pretty place about a 3 minute drive from the hotel.
