Just one thing, even though on the website it states service animals are the only ones welcome, you might be given a pushback as most DR places are quick to rule out and indiscriminately judge on a quick no for a service animal’s entrance unless you press the matter further. Overall, it’s a phenomenal place and friendly staff.”

”Front desk wasn't very helpful. Upon the arrival we made several calls to request various small things, and none of them was fulfilled, despite promise of "in 5 Minutes". Learned to help ourselves by ourselves. Looks like there is a shortage of cleaning maids. You can never tell at what time your room will be cleaned, or cleaned at all (at the beginning we had two days without service).
On the positive side - the Junior Suite upgrade (Building 5), was totally worth the money. Large bedroom with...

”The area looked beautiful in photos but it really was not feeling safe. We had an overnight before cruise and mainly just stayed in the room. The beach was lovely but we didn’t feel comfortable eating anywhere near this small hotel no elevator so be prepared to carry your luggage up stairs to higher floors. No where close to get a coffee in the morning.”

”We stayed the night before our cruise. $25 cab ride away from airport and from cruise terminal. Cabbie did not recognize hotel name as it was called something else. Staff did not speak English but check in was easy. Rooms were a good size. Very basic amenities. Just a bed and a table and chair ( I think). No towels in room. I think there was a small soap. Front desk guy went to find some towels for us. Bathroom was poorly lit and slightly moldy. Water was cold. Breakfast was eggs, toast, juice...

”The property was okay - it is on a main road so it can get quite noisy. The only negative we had was when we checked in. We were told that the machines were not working and we would have to pay in cash. We were told that the owner was looking to sell and she was only wanting cash. We did not enough in US dollars so the management wanted basically the equivalent in Euros. It was late and there was no point in haggling as there were no other places with any room because we were taking a cruise...
