”The Padre is a nice, basic motel. The Padre’s proprietor, Charles, was very friendly and helpful. He responded to our needs quickly. This hotel is an older building but well maintained and clean. Escalante is a tiny town. You can walk to the few restaurants along Main Street. The Escalante National Monument is just 10 minutes down the million dollar highway, and that is amazing to experience.”

”Hot water lacking for showers in the morning. Water was warm for maybe 1 minute, if lucky. Otherwise, great location for visit to Bryce Canyon and surrounding areas. ”

”This was a good place to stay overnight. Not fancy by any means. There was no staff, just a text providing room assignment and code for the door. Unusual method but effective and great for early arrival. Room was clean. Bed was very comfy. ”

It lived up perfectly to our expectations! The room was clean and very nicely decorated! ”Comfortable room if a bit dated. Direct TV didn't work even though the staff tried everything to help. They were very accommodating. The attached restaurant was good. The "lodge" is really an old motel that has been renovated. Still, it was a comfortable stay.”
