”We loved our stay! Beautiful room with a great view of the vineyard. The area was quiet, the bed was comfortable & the room amenities were well thought out. The only issue was the water temp in the shower. It was unstable, running scorching hot then freezing basically the whole time the shower was on. Honestly though, not a huge issue considering all the positives with our stay.”

”Abermain was a fantastic hotel. Great location to be close to the wineries in Pokolbin and Lovedale. Room was clean and it’s situated in a hotel that is 115 years old. We were worried about the shared bathroom but it was totally fine. The bar food looked great, even though we didn’t indulge after a day at the wineries. Would definitely come back to the Abermain. ”

”You get the entire detached house next to the winery all to yourself. It may show a bit of age in places, but honestly, it feels almost too luxurious for the price. The house comes with four beds, a dining area, kitchen, living room, a saltwater pool, and even a billiards table. The pool cues are pretty worn out and not perfectly straight—but that just adds to the charm (lol). If you’re serious about playing billiards all night, you might want to bring your own cue… if such a traveler even...

”We had a wonderful time at this beautiful historic hotel. The staff are the greatest asset, and provide genuine, heartfelt excellent service in everything they do. The team that looks after the rooms is also exceptional. Having seen some other people’s reviews, I think you need to bear in mind that this is a building which is more than 100 years old, and it has been updated to a very comfortable and pleasant experience. But it is not a recent construction. I hardly recommend the convent if...
