”I booked 3 nights, but ended up staying a week. Place is nice, clean, cosy, staff superfriendly, surroundings very beautiful and peaceful. Kitchen is well equipped and there is lots of space. Dorm room was warm enough for me, I find most of the NZ hostels too cold on winter time. Moana Lodge is truly a home away from home and good place to stay if you need a break from busy Wellington. Only thing I wish to change is that they should have unlimited wi-fi., altough I did get as much those 1GB...

”Waited in reception for 20 minutes before being seen by the receptionist that had no manners and demanded everything, room was filthy and not what I had booked for, came back to the accommodation the next day later in the afternoon and rooms had still not been cleaned. Overall I give the motel a bad rating & definitely won’t be staying there again or suggesting to anyone. ”

”The sheets and towels were clean and new looking, but the hotel overall is just quite dated. For a very short time the elevator stopped working while we were there. The room we stayed in was quiet and we even got lucky being higher up and got a bit of a view which was lovely. I think it was good value for the price we paid. It's evident some money has been put into renovating/upkeeping the place, but there are still more renovations needed. ”
