Be aware that the “cabins of Mackinaw” are not all Cabins! You may end up overpaying for a tiny hotel/motel room that is hidden behind the (admittedly nice looking) Cabins in the front of the property. I even double checked the photos shown on Expedia and the only pic representative of our booked room was labeled as a “bedroom” which would otherwise come across like it’s part of one of the cabins - in the room, all of the 3 pieces of furniture were either damaged or non functioning, the nightstand for example must have been broken and was resting on the floor with the French cleat it used to be left on still bolted to the wall, then of course there were the lamps that didn’t work and the overall dirty condition of the room! The skirt of the bed wasn’t even pulled down over the ancient mattress, having worked in a hotel for 2 years I can understand some mistakes and general laziness but this is easily the worst room I’ve ever stayed in despite being in a price point of some very nice rooms that I have experienced. Do not stay here

We were staying to walk the bridge. It was great for that. Easy walking distance to the bridge and all of the downtown attractions.

There was mold where the shower pan and walls met. There was only one half of a roll of toilet paper and no wash cloths. The material on the sofa was torn.

Cute cabin, need to sweep around bed. The dirt was on sheets. Need to tell that you need to bring kitchen supplies. Over all nice stay. Will come back

Bathtub drain, stand in ankle, deep water when showering , spiderwebs and spiders in the corners of room, front window leak , water dripping on window sill on inside of room when raining , had to put hotel towels on window sill to help keep it dry for Ptact unit below window, large puddle in the middle of parking lot when driving in or out , 12-16” deep as no drain in that area

I liked the privacy of the cabins. The cabin could use to be cleaned better - not just in the main walking area - corners are dirty, furniture is dusty. There really needs to be a shelf in the shower to hold the soap and shampoo. At checkin the employee was very helpful with info on the area.

Want to return and stay in the cabin style accommodation! We were in the 2 story hotel building at the back of the property. It was nice enough, clean, good water, and sink separate from the shower / toilet which helps with 4 people in the room! Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating.

The web page is misleading, it shows the cabins but not the other rooms. We booked the room(cabin) as we thought this was all that was rented. Upon arrival we were told we did not reserve the cabin but a LODGE ROOM which was not outlined as there were no room selection phase of the reservation. For the cost spent for the room for two nights ( 442.00) we were put in a room "lodge" that looked like a cheap MOTEL 6 and had spider webs hanging from the walls and ceiling along with un swept floors with a great deal of built up dust throughout along with broken hand rails and moss growing the entire room walkways. If i wanted to stay at a motel 6, i would have done just that and saved a lot of money!.. very disappointed in my experiance and would NOT recommend.

Housekeeping needs improvement. They did not change light bulbs, everything was extremely Dusty, and things were not supplied. The housekeeping department did not clean well, as if they didn't care. I was a housekeeping manager, and I would have never let that room get rented in the condition it was. Whoever checked after housekeeping should have corrected it before releasing it to the guest. I was disgusted.

The pictures shown when I booked a room for two nights were not pictures of this facility. We were issued room in a separate building with old dirty carpet, old worn out beds, no trash can in the bathroom, black mold growing on the door frame in the bathroom and the TV had to be hooked up when we got there! We paid over $200 per night and this room was not even worth $50! False advertising at it's best!

It’s susper close to all the shops in mackinaw city and close to the docks for the ferry’s if you go to the island.

The rooms were very dirty, uncleaned, dusty, and old. They had a moldy smell to them. The shower heads were very low and had black stuff all around them. I’m going home tonight and feel like I have to shower with bleach. Felt like a 1 star motel. Way too over priced. Never again

My room was not what I expected, It was small, outdated and dirty. Compared to the rooms I saw while doors were open, I was given the smallest room there. For $500 for 2 days it was definitely not worth it. The stairs and balcony has moss growing all over it and it didn't seem the property was kept up

It looks like a great on the outside of our cabin, we had the premium cabin. However once We went inside ,we found , screens were broken or had holes, there was dead bugs and dirt filling the window sills. We opened up the pull out couch and there was crumbs everywhere and also the tv remote and some kids hot wheels car inside. The floors will leave your socks or feet black and the rug is dirty. On the room description it says “hydromassage “ shower head ,it was just a normal basic shower head with low water pressure . There was 2 lightbulbs burnt out , multiple outlets not working and the cords from the TVs and modem just hanging out exposed like a mess. One of the drawers had a previous occupants trash. Lastly in the room one of the the pillow cases I had , had a weird gross stain on it and the sheets just didn’t smell clean . Now outside the outdoor hot tub was filled with sand and the pools had tons of chlorine in them. On the plus side the people working at the front desk were friendly and helpful with what we needed. Most of these problems could be fixed with better cleaning and replacing old rugs and stained sheets/ pillow cases.

This was a complete waste of money. The cabin was dirty, wet, and musty smelling. There's no space between cabins and things are in disrepair or non-functional. Staff was very unhelpful with questions regarding parking while we visited the island, so we just opted to park off site to play it safe. The "waterpark" is a very poorly kept up hotel pool area with a small water feature for children. It was dirty and cold. We felt completely scammed!
