By far the worse hotel room I have ever stayed in. The room stunk and it was filthy. The lock latch on the door was broken, bedding was stained, my daughter’s white socks were gray w/in minutes of walking on the floor, neither TV nor phone worked, outlets were so loose anything plugged in fell right out. The bathroom had a big spider in the corner behind the door (who had obviously taken up residence there quite some time ago based on its size and the size and its collections in the web) so clearly that space had not been cleaned, there were also crumbs of god knows what behind the bathroom door. It was so bad that my children and I couldn’t stand the thought of staying there another night so we left after one. When Expedia reached out to the hotel to request a refund for the night not spent there, they refused. I get that there are rules and restrictions re: reservations but there is no way they are not aware of the state of their establishment and it’s absolutely disgraceful that they would deny a refund to a customer who left because of the poor conditions of the room. I have been compensated at other hotels for far less disturbing concerns w/out issue. Shame on the management there for being so money hungry (I’m sure they reaped the benefit of some other poor, unknowing customer paying for the room the same night I also did) that the concerns of a customer don’t matter. I will say the two men at the front desk were very friendly at check in.
