I will start this review with the fact we were there before the real season starts going up in Mackinaw City. I will preface the fact that it is a I would consider a Budget Motel for that area I got two nights for $189 after taxes and fees. Start with the staff was more than Pleasant, Hotel was clean, quiet and in a great location. My room was clean it was everything you expect I booked a single bed and I got a double bed but they didn't charge me for anything else. Now what I would say are the negatives the bathroom door in my room had damage on it that was actually tried to be covered up they should have replaced the door it was just more of an unsightly if anything there was a small hole behind the hair dryer but it was kind of covered up by the hair dryer I just happened to notice it other than everything else in the room was fine. The continental breakfast was adequate, it was a lot of the usual things toast, cereal, mini pancakes, make your own waffles ham I was disappointed there wasn't scrambled eggs to be honest I don't remember absolutely everything. It was okay for continent only got food in your stomach and saved you from having pay for breakfast somewhere else and since I was in Mackinac early in the season there was really not much open yet for the season restaurant wise.

The girls at reception desk were great special mention to Michelle very helpful . Great view from our room . Only suggestion breakfast could have more variety especially if your visiting for a few days . Will stay again

The location is very nice as it is beachfront. Room was clean and nice also as we had a balcony room. The front desk clerk lady was very rude and not nice upon our check-in. Perhaps greeting your guests with a smile would be nice instead of saying,”I just work here.”

The property is on the water which is beautiful. It is a bit outdated, but the staff was friendly and nice. The breakfast was ok, nothing fancy.

Front desk was great. Cleaning crew needs to make sure customers can get by the carts. Breakfast needs to start earlier than 7am. It was very quite and a nice little beach. Will stay again

We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel , the desk help was excellent . i think the breakfast should be till 10 am so we missed it . The cleaning staff was great ,. The room was good the shower handle on the wall was very loose . I will stay here again. Thanks

This was the best experience I've had in a long time the hotel is beautiful was everything that was told to me on the website through Expedia the Hamilton the staff was wonderful breakfast was amazing pool jacuzzi tub we got water park passes to another hotel but the water park was not far at all it was wonderful they stayed open late for the kids the pool we had a wonderful time I recommend this for a couple for a family for just a quick weekend getaway which we did it was wonderful

Staff very helpful. Reserved a one bed room for an overnight stay. Was upgraded to a room on the 3rd floor balcony room facing the water. Very clean. Staff very helpful. Great selection of breakfast items

While trying to check in i was asked to give my 2 queen room for a smaller one , there was 2 adults and 3 kids that we needed for and was told it was excessive for number of people. We found snacks and food in our night stand between the beds so the room was not cleaned very well.

Reserved a room the same day we needed a place to stay. We arrived and the entire city had no power. They refused to refund our money saying it was non-refundable and out of their control that they had no power. Not sure how customers are supposed to stay at a hotel, with NO ELECTRICITY! We ended up having to go to another city to stay. I will never make a reservation here in the future after this treatment.
