Kaunis puutarha. Hotelli selkeästi jo vähän aikansa elänyt, mutta kuitenkin hyvin ylläpidetty ja siisti. Erittäin ystävällinen palvelu. Aamupalabuffet runsas, mutta muuten hotellin ravintoloissa hinta-laatusuhde hyvin huono.

Pestana Village tammikuussa 2015
Pestana Village hotellin huone oli hyvä ja siisti, mutta ajan saatossa kulunut. Pieni keittokomero huoneessa, jossa vedenkeitin, mikroaaltouuni ja jääkaappi. Huone oli melko viileä iltaisin, sain pyynnöstä lisäpatterin, joka toi mukavasti lämpöä. Palvelu oli asiallista. Hotellin sijainti on hyvä: kävelymatka Funchalin keskustaan ja Lidon ravintoloihin. Osa hotellin baareista oli kiinni tammikuussa 2015. Hotellissa oli rauhallista. Kylpyläosasto oli oikeen kiva: hyvä sauna, höyrysauna ja jacuzzi, avoinna 8-11 ja 16-20. Uima-allasalue ja puutarha on upea. Ulkoaltaiden lisäksi löytyy viihtyisä lämmitetty sisäuima-allas. Wifi toimi ainoastaan hotellin aulassa. Aamiainen oli runsas ja monipuolinen. Hotellin yleiset tilat ovat erityisen viihtyisät ja kivat.

Quiet location close to services
We were really happy with our hotel choice: the location was quiet and the noise of traffic not a problem, yet connections from the hotel were really good: buses went every 10 minutes and you could get a taxi right at the entrance of the hotel, and you can also reach the old town by foot reasonably quickly. The garden of the hotel was lovely and the breakfast great. The staff were really helpful and friendly. We were a little concerned of the lack of air condition but for no reason as we found the ceiling fan more than enough, and it was actually more comfortable than an ac system. The fan cooled the room very nicely and the possibility to adjust the power was great as during the night we found the lowest grade to be enough. All and all a wonderful hotel, which we warmly recommend!

Détente dans un endroit magnifique
6 jours de détente dans un endroit magnifique. Les buffets sont exceptionnels et vous avez même le choix de diner à la carte dans les autres restaurants. Reste à mentionner la gentillesse du personnel et l'animation musicale chaque soir. Une rénovation des SDB dans les chambres est prévu prochainement et est nécessaire car ne répond plus aux normes. Nous recommandons sans hésiter.

Great holiday accommodation
The hotel grounds, pool etc are excellent along with all the staff, always smiling, happy and helpful. The food was good apart from the Italian night which didn't appear to have a lot of Italian food. The rooms are clean and spacious but are in need of an update along with the bathrooms imo. Complimentary shampoo/conditioner would be nice along with bottled water. Not enough electrical sockets. Overall a nice hotel and would certainly stay again ☺️

Schöne Garten- und Poolanlage, alles sehr gepflegt. Nette Restaurants a la carte. Besonders das Adega Restaurant war ausgezeichnet. Das Buffet allerdings konnte nicht wirklich überzeugen. Frühstück war super, aber zum Abendessen war die Auswahl nur ok und der Geschmack etwas fade. Gewürze haben definitiv gefehlt. Der Nachtisch war gut auch wenn eine Eiskarte fehlte.

Nice hotel with decent facilities, but the wi-fi in my room was awful - couldn't work or make calls using it at all (though it was better in the public areas). Also I found the breakfast buffet rather disappointing, with very little to mark it as Madeiran.

This place had a "nursing home" feel to it. In fact my wife joked she was going to "check me in". I didn't know but apparently Madeira Island has always been an old people place. This was also much different because I thought it was a small boutique place, it is a HUGE place, a corporate place with two hotels joined in the middle

Hotel agradável, um pouco antigo, mas com todas as comodidades. Colchões e almofadas de nível satisfatório. Staff, no geral, bem preparado. Especial referência ao Sr. Nélio Fernandes, excelente profissional, sempre atento a corresponder às necessidades e desejos de toda a família. Muito atencioso, cordial e disponível. Jantar buffet com alguma variedade, sendo a qualidade de confecção variável consoante os dias, uns menus bastante melhores que outros. Recomendo experimentar o restaurante Miramar. A possibilidade de utilizar os espaços comuns do hotel Miramar (hotel contíguo), nomeadamente espaço da piscina interior, jacuzzi, restaurantes e sala de jogos, melhora bastante a experiência, dado complementarem os espaços de lazer existentes no Village. No global, gostamos bastante da nossa estadia.

Though located right in the city due to its lovely set up it is really quiet and you almost have the feeling to be in a botanic garden dotted with swimming pools on different levels. The room was homely and clean and even had a kitchen. The breakfast was included and amazingly good. The staff were super friendly and fun.

The hotel was a bit old and has a stale smell but front desk staff is good. Level of attentiveness is high.

Sehr schöne, gepflegte Anlage! Freundliches Personal! Besonders Überrascht hat uns die Aufmerksamkeit der Restaurant- Managerin: mein Mann hatte Geburtstag und er bekam einen leckeren Kuchen, Prosecco und einen Geburtstagsbrief... war wirklich sehr sehr lieb!!!

Schöne Anlage mit 2 Pools. Freundliches Personal mit guten Deutsch kenntnissen. Gute Restaurants beim Hotel und in der Umgebung. Je nach lage vom Zimmer hört man den Strassenverkehr stark.

The gardens were excellent and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. We appreciated the low-rise nature of the hotel - we were on the ground floor, but the highest was only 6 floors and fairly unobtrusive. We were not informed beforehand that there was a charge of €6.50 per day for car parking!
