Welcome to Serenity Retreat! This cozy cottage is perfect for a relaxing Great Smoky Mountain escape.
Located in beautiful Maggie Valley, this lovely home offers year round Mountain View’s and is surrounded by nature. Local wildlife such as elk, deer, and turkeys regularly stroll by. With a gas log fireplace, WiFi, cable tv, and a fire pit, the cottage has everything you need for a wonderful getaway, while also being convenient to area attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and Cherokee.
Serenity Retreat is a lovely, peaceful cottage with everything you need for a fantastic mountain vacation.
When you arrive at the house, you’ll find parking in driveway for two vehicles. You can access the cottage either by ramp or by a small flight of stairs. Upon opening the front door, you’ll be greeted by a wonderful open floor plan with a spacious kitchen, plenty of comfortable seating, and a gas fireplace. There is also a washer and dryer for our
guests to use in the front hall closet by the door.
Travel to the left of the living area, and you’ll find a spacious master suite with an adjacent sitting area and full size futon perfect for an extra guest or little one. This bedroom also has an attached full bath and walk in closet. A comfy king size bed and large screen tv complete the space so you can relax and unwind and enjoy the mountains.
The cottage has a split floor plan, so back across the living room is a hall bath and second bedroom with two twin size beds and plenty of board games.
As you travel back through the living room, you’ll find a spacious dining area with a family size table and chairs so guests can enjoy meals and make memories together.
Off the dining room, you can travel outside and enjoy the Mountain View from a rocking chair on the back deck. This area also overlooks the backyard and has a gas grill for guests to use as well.
From the deck, you can journey down the backyard path to a wonderful fire pit area with plenty of seating to roast marshmallows or enjoy a glass of wine.
Serenity Retreat is hosted by Loriel and Adam of Keaton Cottages Vacations and Loriel is a licensed real estate agent.
You’ll have access to the entire cottage and surrounding property.

Serenity Retreat is located in quiet area with just a few neighbors besides the local wildlife.
It is just 12 miles to Cherokee and the Harrah’s Casino, 5 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance, and about 20 minutes to historic Waynesville. The Cataloochee Ski Resort is 20 minutes away and Tube World is a 10 minute drive. Guests can also reach the Biltmore Estate in Asheville in about an hour.
The road up to the cottage is gravel and while 4WD/AWD is not required in the milder months, guests should have it in the winter in the case of snow or ice or in heavy rain.
A car is needed to best access the property and all the Great Smoky Mountains have to offer.
Please use Waze for directions to the cottage and navigating the mountains in general. GPS is not reliable.
We provide Satellite TV in both the living room and master bedroom.
Cell service can be limited in the area around the cottage.
The road to Serenity Retreat is gravel and during the winter months or in heavy rain, guests will need 4WD/AWD to access the cottage.
Pets are welcome at Serenity Retreat. There is a $50 non-refundable pet fee. Please keep pets off the furniture and bedding. Thank you!
No fire accelerants of any kind, such as lighter fluid are permitted to be used at the fire pit or anywhere else on the property.
