”My girlfriend and I had a 2 night stay to explore Millinocket and Baxter State Park. It's location is central and travel is easy to Baxter State Park and whatever you want to do in the area. For space, it is perfectly spacious for 1-2 people, but anything over that would be too much. Bathroom is a bit tight but very usable. Kitchen is full and has everything that one would need. The bed is super (SUPER!) comfortable and the entire apartment was spotless. Host was always kind and understanding....

”It was a bit too close to a main road so road noise could be heard, particularly when sitting on the porch. There is no handrail up to the bedroom and the steps are rather steep and dark...not a good set up for older patrons or those with mobility issues. Other than that, it was clean and comfortable and a nice area to easily walk the dogs outside. The setting is very pretty on a river and canoes and kayaks are available to use.”

”Overall the trip was great the house was not bad, But the driveway is very rough on low riding vehicles. I also found it weird that during my stay the owner message to me to let me know he would be dropping off a snow plow at the house that day. I know it's their property and all it just felt weird as I paid thousands of dollars to be there.”

”Four humans and one dog stayed at the BRH while in town for a canoe race! The house was welcoming and perfectly clean. Plenty of towels, blankets and a kitchen stocked with appliances that we cooked in. Nice neighborhood for dog walks and easy to get to grocery stores! ”Down East day trip locale perfected! Bring your whole family and rent all three suites. The hosts have accomplished absolute magic in their herculean efforts to make this building a draw for the town. They succeeded wildly, with only a few new-lodging quirks to work out. The design is just enough, with subtle details somehow receding into the character of the moment rather than feeling obvious and cliché. ”So, what can I say that hasn’t already been highlighted. The property itself is your a typical Maine lake house. It is close to a few amenities like Hannifords and a few restaurants but not too far from Bangor. The interior is completely updated and is stocked as you would expect with top quality rentals.
