Fairbank House - for a couple, a group, or a celebraton!

Dating back to the 1860s, Fairbank offers comfort and style in a quaint town.
Internally, its three bedrooms and bathrooms are quintessential country house: down quilts and pillows, mohair throws. Egyptian cotton sheets and covers (and towels) have a touch of French charm. This farmhouse theme carries through to the two ensuites and main bathroom. The accessible main ensuite has a walkin shower set in travertine and tile, one front bedroom ensuite shines with Roman features of Carrara marble, whilst the second front room has the main 1920s bathroom with its jetted tub and surprise shower. Bedside charging points and the bathrooms' fun mirrors are useful features.

Entertainment includes Foxtel and Netflix, wifi, and connects to other streaming services. The original diningroom begs for a feast from the fully equipped kitchen with a hamper full of local producers toget you started.

Outside, Fairbank has spaces for everyone: lawns, safe fishponds, a glorious loggia and al fresco dining off the kitchen and loungeroom to chose where to set up for a barberque.

Fairbank's setting is aimed at guests privacy and accessiblity in its extraordinary gardens.

Things to do in Maldon.
Walk or cycle the town trails, the mining trail is across the road from Fairbank through the railyards: left for the mines, right through the Diggings to wabder in to town past the Beehive chimney.

Have a train ride on the terrific Victorian Goldfields Railway. There's themed trains as well, but they return to Castlemaine: Ales on Rails for daytime, and dress-up Murder on the Orient Express where you get to dress up as the filum stars. Everything at vgr.com.au

For foodies. We aren't large enough to support hatted restaurants, but there's plenty 30-45minutes from MFC (Maldon Fun Central) - try Castlemaine, Daylesford and Bendigo.
