Spend a few hours swimming, sanding and sunbathing on the sandy beach at Ajstrup Strand, and the port of Norsminde is also close by. Here you may also be able to buy your fish directly from the quay. However, if attractions are high on your wish list, then Aarhus is not far away, where you can go for a stroll, enjoy large ice cream cones at Tivoli Friheden or attend a Friday concert on a warm summer evening. You can experience what life was like in great-grandmother's time at the open-air museum Den Gamle By, and see the city from above at the ARoS art museum and Olafur Eliasson's Your Rainbow Panorama. You can take a stroll along Ströget and in Bruuns Galleri. If your children decide on excursion destinations, they can go to Legoland or the Givskud Zoo lion park, which is about an hour's drive from the house.
