Overall, we had a really nice time at Iberostar Selection Playa de Muro Village. We particularly liked the room setup. We had a suite and a family suite, and both were spacious, with large balconies and good facilities, e.g. Nespresso machines, microwaves, a well stocked mini bar, and similar. The beds were extremely comfortable, too! Food was very good - better than expected. We booked half board. Unfortunately we only had access to the buffet with this, but the quality of the food was generally very high, and the service was spot-on. There was a lot of good sea food on offer! Things we didn't love: We tried to contact the hotel well before our arrival to ensure that our rooms were next to each other (easier with a relatively young child...), but the email that we sent through the Expedia app went unanswered. We then used Iberostar's own online check-in to reserve two rooms, next to each other, but the hotel could not find a record of one of the bookings (although I had a confirmation email!). So we weren't as close together as we had planned. No huge drama, but as we went out of our way to sort this pre-arrival, it was annoying. The hotel manager was incredibly nice and tried to help, but there were no good options for us available. The spa / indoor pool is shared with the 4-star hotel next door, and it was quite overcrowded when we went, and a little chaotic. Also, the changing facilities were really poor - zero privacy and not very clean.

Home away from home
Wonderful stay at a great resort! B u t … Since we are an adult couple, we would have preferred that this was an adult only resort. Because it was a lot of noise and crying from kids and babies - at breakfast, dinner, by the pool and at the beach. It wasn’t quiet for a second - and that was what we really needed. But - we discovered a little late that at least for dinner, that there were a small adults only- section. Wish they could have told us at check in or at least in the restaurant when we said our room number and they saw that it was just the two of us. And for improvement: Maybe it could be an area by the pool as well - only for adults? Besides this, we really really love Playa de Muro Village. And lovely lady at the reception that did the check in ( Carina maybe?). And let us not forget LUKAS !!! The entertainer! He was a blast!!! Sooo nice and so funny!! And great that he joined many guests from different nations to make sangria all together! You must do everything you can to KEEP him at your hotel!!! And - it was very nice that one of the waitresses every day offered a drink by the pool. Super nice indeed.

It was super close to the beach. The resort was well staffed and never had to wait for a drink or food. Staff were friendly.

Godt ophold
Høj renlighed, nyere indretning, pænt. Perfekt til familier. Fantastisk beliggenhed ved stranden - udsigten ved morgenmaden er svær at slå. God service - ikke mindst manager, Carolina, som personligt kørte os til en restaurant, da en taxi booking gik galt.

Well run hotel with very pleasant staff. Wish there were more a la carte options for dining throughout the day, unfortunately had to resort to dining across the road with the tacky tourist restaurants.

Not a 5 star hotel. It is decent and close to Beach. We did not eat breakfast but judging by the taste of coffee, the breakfast may not be amazing. Staff are friendly but checkin process in chaotic due to under staffing. Rooms are decent and it is a family and kids friendly place. Not the best place for people without kids.

Sehr schöne und gepflegte Anlage,modernes Hotel mit wunderschönem Strand. Jedoch ist dieses Hotel nichts für kinderlose Paare,denn der Lärm der vielen Kinder ist enorm!Tipp ans Hotel: schreibt endlich in der Beschreibung dass es sich um ein Kinderhotel handelt! Schade,wir werden dieses Hotel nicht mehr buchen.

Jag och min sambo åkte 6 dagar med vår 2 åriga son och är jättenöjda :) Väldigt trevlig personal som är serviceminded och alltid glada och hjälpsamma. Fina rum som är fräscha. Väldigt god mat i buffén med bra variation för både barn och vuxna. Lite hög ljudnivå men så blir det ju med barn. Hade varit mer störande om vi inte själva hade barn. Nu var det ok :) Roligt lekrum för barnen och förutom vårt egna poolområde fanns ett större poolområde perfekt för barn intill det 4 stjärniga iberostar som vi också kunde gå till. Stranden är jättefin och ligger precis i anslutning till hotellet. Enkelt att ta buss utanför till Alcúdia osv.

Would highly recommend playa de muro village. Access to the beach was from the hotel so felt safe for little ones, and the hotel facilities are fantastic. There is an indoor pool in case it is too chilly to use the outdoor pools. The kids evening entertainment was a hit, but we missed out on alone time as didn’t realise the kids club was only available for drop off from 4yo (we have a 5yo and 2yo). Quality of food was great, but lunch options were limited tbh. Would highly recommend a stay here, especially if you love to cycle as there are a lot of cyclists around alcudia! We stayed in April and it was a bit chilly, might be better in May.

Hotel ist mit Kindern sehr zu empfehlen! Ist von Babybrei über Unterhaltung, etc. alles vorhanden. Das Zimmer war angenehm gross und das Personal sehr freundlich. Auch wir als Eltern von zwei kleinen Kindern konnten uns etwas erholen. Alles in Allem top!

Exklusivt Hotel för barnfamilj
Perfekt Hotel för familj med barn på alla sätt och därmed mindre bra för oss med äldre ungdomar. Vi hade otur med rum där ett rum hade avlopps lukt , vår suite hade utsikt mot tak och annan byggnad trots det höga priset dock var tredje rummet bra med utsikt mot pool och hav. Hela Algarve stranden mycket trevlig och bra priser på restauranter.

Good beach and food, poor check-in and comfort
Not a great attitude from the reception staff during check-in, telling us that the room we booked didn't exist and blaming Hotels.com for advertising this non-existing room. Eventually, after dragging our luggage from one room to another for an hour, they put us into an OK-ish room but still not as advertised, and refused to upgrade us to a better room for free. Buffet breakfast/dinners were generally good, particularly, in the beachfront cafe. We enjoyed the meals and the view. The beach itself is nice, but very narrow and overcrowded with beach umbrellas/chairs. If you don't wish to use them, you basically have no space left for you. Apart from the hotel, there is pretty much nothing to do outside within walking distance, which is pretty sad. It's good that we stayed only for 4 nights. P.S.: Beware, this "family-friendly hotel" has no lifts, so if you've got a pushchair, you'll need to conquer stairs multiple times a day.

Gutes Hotel mit einer wesentlichen Enttäuschung
Alles voll im Rahmen der Erwartung wie man es von einem solchen "Clubhotel" erwartet. Die Animation war mehrsprachig aber mit Schwerpunkt auf Spanisch und Englisch, was für kleine Kids nicht ideal ist. Essen abwechslungsreich und gut. Zimmer sind recht neu und gut ausgestattet. Lage echt schön direkt am Strand. Einziger wirklicher Kritikpunkt: Die Außenpools sind nicht beheizt, was im Herbst echt Miste ist und auf der Webseite des Hotels anders dargestellt wird. Für uns war das ein Entscheidungskriterium und das betreffend wurden wir echt enttäuscht. Das "Innenbad" ist bei schlechtem Wetter massiv überfüllt. Der Rest war echt klasse!

Nydelige luxus-feriedager
Nydelige feriedager, stor komfort i nyoppusset suite - fantastisk flott bad og diger, deilig seng! Egen stue med sofa, lite skrivebord, minibar. 2 romslige garderobeskap med lys i . Stille og rolig beliggenhet på vårt rom. Det er mange småbarnsfamilier på området, populært og tilrettelagt også for dem. Maten er helt fantastisk - frokostbuffét og middagsbuffét, vi hadde dette inklusiv. Nydelige bassengområder - og hotellet ligger basicly rett på stranda. Og for ei fin strand!! Vi har vært her mange ganger OG vi skal tilbake!!

When it comes to hotels I think here are the most important categories 1. Location 2. Room and hotel quality 3. Friendliest of staff and service 4. Entertainment 5. Food 1. Location very good with lovely beach outside of hotel. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby 2. Room and hotel quality satisfactory with the only exception that air conditionally poor and takes ages to cool room down 3. Amazing staff.. the staff are clearly happy to be working there and everyone are friendly and willing to help. The lovely touches are like they remember what you like to eat, remember your names etc. Best I have seen. Special mention to a staff called Conchita, my kids loved her!! 4. Incredible entertainment, shows every evening, one for kids and another for the grown ups. Even lots o entertainments by pool during the day too. Obviously given real thought process. One of the best I have experienced 5. Amazing food and not shy on ingredients. Different food every day in the buffet ensuring that you won’t be bored. Great quality and good variety. Was there for 14 days and was not bored by the end of it having eaten there for breakfast and dinner every day for 2 weeks there. What an amazing hotel, would definitely go back, not the best rooms or the fanciest hotel I have been to but certainly the best as a whole package. My wife and my two daughters (4 and 2) loved it. We made many friends there too which tells you the friendly vibe the hotel gives

Food could use some improvement, but was good overall. Some things in all inclusive, are not, included at all. Had ants in the room, no big deal im used to that, shower faucet was very hard to regulate and had occasional changes in temperature.

Bon hôtel qui privilégie essentiellement d’un excellent emplacement. Les chambres sont confortables mais pas d’un niveau 5 * en revanche elles disposent d’un large balcon. Le ménage est très bien fait tous les jours. La salle de restaurant est en sous-sol et extrêmement bruyante, chose assez étrange de faire dîner en sous-sol la clientèle qui serait bien plus heureuse en terrasse. Le buffet est bon mais répétitif, aucune variation, aucun changement sur une période de 11 nuits donc si vous souhaitez y passer plus d’une semaine vous risquez vite de vous lasser, surtout si vous êtes en t’oit compris ou même en 1/2 pension. Le club enfant propose des activités intéressantes. Bref un hôtel dans l’ensemble bien mais pas aussi exceptionnel que ce que la vidéo, les photos etc semblent promettre.

Perfekt zum Entspannen - auch für Familien
Äußerst guter und freundlicher Service. Wunderschöne Anlage direkt am Strand. Zwei Pools und die Pools des Nachbarhotels (mit Kinderbereich) können genutzt werden. Zimmer schön, aber nicht besonders groß. Essen gut, nicht top... dafür aber Auf wunderschöner Terrasse mit Meerblick, bei sehr guten Service. Kinderbetreuung ab 4 Jahre sehr gut! Wir möchten uns bei den Mitarbeitern bedanken und Ihnen das Beste wünschen. Trotz schlechter Nachrichten und Jobunsicherheit wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen!

Strand sehr schön, flach. Sauberer Sand. Zugang vom Hotel zum Strand sehr gut. Man kann vom Hotelpool direkt zum Strand. Anlage aufgrund des Village Stils angenehmer und ruhiger als die grossen „Bunker“. Personal freundlich, saubere Anlage, gute Familienzimmer (abgetrennter Schlafbereich). Umgebung nicht berauschend. Will man was sehen, benötigt man einen Mietwagen od. Ein Taxi.

Ok but not good value for money
Overall the hotel is recently refurbished but not what I would call a 5 star facility. We staid an extra 4 nights at the 4 star iberostar next door at half the price and hardly notice a difference. So far only the buffet quality seems slightly superior but not good value for money. Very friendly staff but I wish I didn’t waste my money as it was not a true five star experience Mx

Tolle Familienferien im Herbst
Das Hotel bietet tolle Infrastruktur und Top Service für unvergessliche Familienferien. Wir hatten leider nur für eine Woche gebucht, wären gerne viel länger geblieben. Die Anlage war sehr sauber, die Zimmer sehr schön eingerichtet und der Strand der Hammer. Man kann mit Kleinkindern sehr gut im flachen Wasser schwimmen. Auch die beiden Pools sind sehr gut geeignet, um sich zu entspannen. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und sehr zuvorkommend. Man konnte via App von Iberostar mit dem Staff kommunizieren, was wir sehr nutzten. Wir werden sicher wieder einmal dort Ferien machen!
