”Very clean and new hotel building. Rooms are tight but clean and have fridge and microwave oven. Since located in downtown Oakland it can get quite busy in surroundings, though 11th street is somewhat calm area. My room windows were on the street side and it was pretty noisy during nights. If you wear ear plugs it is no big deal. I stayed 10 nights and my room wasn't cleaned for once. Breakfast is okay. Nothing fancy but you get what you need to start your day. I probably wouldn't stay here...

”This is a great alternative to the much-more-expensive hotels in the area. Don't set the high expectations and you will be happy. The room and bathroom are clean and comfortable. The breakfast is great because it has the waffle machine. The only difference are the few "scuffs and marks" on doors and windows, but no compromise in safety and quality! I will return! The only problem was the noise from the other rooms, it felt like people were talking all night.”

Although this is a boutique hotel without a lobby with coffee or drinks, there is a 7-Eleven a couple doors down and plenty of coffee shops and eateries about a 10 minute walk up the street on Piedmont Avenue. ”i had a “safe” place to sleep that’s all that truly mattered. surrounding neighborhood is pretty sketchy but that’s oakland for you. pretty big drug bust outside my room on my first day which was pretty shocking, but if you need a place to sleep this is the place to be, just lock up your car.”

”We read reviews and I usually try to be openminded. Many reviews said 10/10 with some reviews having lower reviews. I just want a clean spot to stay. The hotel room was very rundown. Sheets, thankfully were clean. The floors hadn't been mopped in who knows how long...i wiped up water from the shower and paper towel was black on first wipe. Microwave hadn't been cleaned in ages. Breakfast seemed like the coffee had been reheated for days...it was thick and dark and the coffee urn had dried...

”Bathroom was moldy and shower and tub were filthy with black scum in crevices. Hair on the floor indicated that it wasn’t swept after the last guest. Otherwise it was basic and gave what I needed which was a cheap roof, bed, shower. The front office person was accommodating.”
