Rakensimme unelmajärvitalomme noin 15 vuotta sitten perhejuhlia varten ja rakensimme sen suureksi 12 ja lisää vieraita varten. Korkeat holvikatot, kivitakka, ainutlaatuiset kalusteet ja kaksi kerrosta ikkunoita antavat poikkeuksellisen kuvan Big Lakesta ja kauneudesta.

Päätilaa käytetään ruokailuun, peleihin, rentoutumiseen tulen ääressä, tarkkailemalla järveä ja kaikkia villieläimiä, jotka tulevat ja menevät (kotkat, peurot, kuikot ja monet muut !!) Talossa on iso mukava seulotaan kuistilla ja massiivinen kansi, joka kulkee talon pituudella järven rannalla.

Keittiö on erittäin suuri ja on upea ryhmille valmistaa aterioita seurusteluun. Se on hyvin varustettu monenlaisilla tarjoilulautasilla, astioilla, kattiloilla ja pannuilla, sekä laajalla valikoimalla laseja jne., Jne.

Big Lake on 827 hehtaarin järvi. Sen enimmäissyvyys on 61 jalkaa. Vierailijoilla on pääsy järvelle julkisista veneiden laskuista. Kalaan sisältyy mysky, pannikala, iso suu basso, pieni suu basso, pohjoinen hauki ja Walleye. Järven vesi on erittäin kirkasta. Koivu Brae on eteläisen bluffin puolella Keith Islandille päin. Portaat johtavat telakkaamme, joka istuu matalalla, hiekkaisella alueella, josta on hauskaa uima- ja vesiurheilua varten.

Birch Brae on myös Vilas Countyn sydämen pyörävaellusjärjestelmässä, joka tarjoaa yli 45 mailia päällystettyjä polkuja, jotka yhdistävät St. Germain, Sayner, Boulder Junction, Manitowish Waters. (8 km Boulder Junctioniin ja 8 km Manitowish Watersiin)

Second stay
Birch Brae is a gold nugget home that we thoroughly enjoy. Great view, quiet, plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen is nicely appointed and Big Lake is awesome. Not a lot of traffic and the fishing is top notch. Needless to say we will be back. Tony C

Supurb lakeside home!
Our family of 13 stayed for a week. Everyone described the the house, the kitchen, and the recreational equipment as outstanding. Everything we needed, especially in the kitchen, was provided. We enjoyed games, puzzles, canoeing, kayaking, bicycling, trail hiking and lots of great conversation. We appreciated the high-speed internet as some family members had work or classes for which high speed was helpful. Everyone explored nearby towns. One family member rented a boat at Greers Landing for two days on a nearby lake for tubing and skiing. We recommend Birch Brae!

Family Vacation
We rent a home every year in the area and this is far and away the best of the best. House was perfect with a large gathering area and kitchen. I love Big Lake, great small mouth, pan fish, Northern and musky fishing. I would highly recommend hiring a guide to learn the lake, there are some dangerous rock bars or simply read a map intently. We will book this house again in 2024. Thx TC

Making Memories
This cabin was beautiful and clean. There was a lot of old detail that was put into it. So many different books and paintings. There was so much character. You can tell the house was built and kept up with love and we felt it. It was beautiful especially the lake. The nearby towns have nice little bars and restaurants. It was truly magical and I can’t wait to stay again. Thank you Keith for letting us stay in your home. Our hearts are warmed.

Beautiful cabin getaway
A group of friends and I gathered at this beautiful accommodating property in the northern highlands region of Wisconsin and could not have been more pleased with the home, the land and the lake it was on. So much to do, look at and explore. Keith was very easy to communicate with and everything was to our liking!

This property was absolutely beautiful and peaceful and quiet and did I say beautiful. The cabin had plenty of space for all of us to hang out. Spacious kitchen lot's of seating for eating and games. The lake was the cleanest we have EVER swam in!!! The scenery around the lake and property was absolutely gorgeous! We found a awesome trail to walk our dogs on! The Host was very easy to communicate with and responded to requests promptly! I can't wait to come back again and again and again. I really hope everyone else has a wonderful experience like we did.

Awesome place for a family get together- From check-in to departure it was a perfect place to enjoy time together and time away. The cabin was perfectly equipped, the location and amenities were outstanding,, and communication was exceptional.

Great trip
Our family had a great time at Birch Brae. The long sandy beach was perfect for our 1, 3, and 4 year olds. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing both around the lake and through the nearby river. The big table and kitchen provided plenty of space for us to gather for large family meals. The fire pit area was really comfortable - out of the way of the wind and the stone bottom kept the bugs at bay. We’d love to come back!

A cabin of dreams and a place to make exceptional memories!
Birch Brae was a phenomenal cabin that welcomed us with open arms! Keith was an exceptional host and was very communicative and easy to work with. Him and his brother kept the property in excellent condition and had everything there for us to enjoy the weekend and ensure a smooth stay. The cabin is great for a long weekend and a wonderful place to make memories! We made many and will cherish them for years to come! Thank you!!

This is a beautiful home that is great for a large group. The open floor plan allowed for everyone to be together and able to move around. The kitchen is huge, well stocked, and was perfect for our large group to make meals each day. We enjoyed the dining tables for enjoying meals together as well as putting puzzles together while overlooking the beautiful views of the lake. We kept a fire burning to keep the chill out of the air and to maintain the cozy feeling. Each family enjoyed their space to sleep as well as plenty of bathrooms for privacy. The two washers and two dryers were a great bonus as well as the ability to use the garage and additional refrigerator. The microwave stopped working during our stay and after a quick message to the property manager he had one on order and it was delivered within a few days. This home was perfect for our snowmobile group/family as the trails were very close, we were able to leave directly from the house to access them.

Best Vaca in years!!!
We LOVED our stay at Birch Brae. My dog learned he loved the water. The little ones made tons of s'mores and the adults kicked back and enjoyed the view. ZERO issues at all. Just a fantastic stress free time :)
