”Wonderful hospitality by Jose and Elena. Beautiful tranquil setting with breathtaking views. We were served delicious breakfast by Elena every morning with fresh bread, scones, muffins…ham and cheese, figs!!! Homemade grape and fig compote were the best!! We ordered a charcuterie board and wine when we arrived and they were great! Will stay there again next chance I get😂”

”Overall this was a good stay. The riverfront, Cockburn’s & a fantastic Fado restaurant is within easy walking distance Our choice of room was double-booked & we were given the larger house. The ac had been turned off because the nights were cool. The problem was the day was very warm & the house was stuffy and we were told that we couldn’t leave the door open. The owner turned the ac on later in the night & it was very pleasant afterward.”

”Nice house, the description is pretty accurate. Quite comfortable for 8 people. We stayed in the mid of summer; the pool was very warm. The river was also warm and good for swimming. The things to pay attention to: - during hot days A/C works to full capacity. - the closest store is 10-15 min away, not walkable - if you are uncomfortable driving steep up/down hill, and sharp turns, consider staying elsewhere. ”

”We spent the entire month of August at this beautiful property. The house is lovely unique and has all the necessary conveniences, views of the Duoro incredible, the hosts are really helpful. The place is pretty remote and the road in is a little treacherous, so don't plan to go out at night, but staying home is delightful in this beautiful home.”

”This is a beautiful location in the hills accessible to Porto. Spacious property. We appreciated the decent-sized pool, the fruit trees and the games room. Communication with the owners was excellent and Miguel was always very helpful. The property is15+ minutes walk to the train station. Bolt taxis are not expensive. So we found this worked well without hiring a car. Lovely holiday.”
