”Our stay was pleasant. The apartment was clean and for the most part quiet. We felt safe. There is no A/C so it can be hot inside when the weather is warm. There was good communication between the landlord and us, and they were accommodating and attentive to our needs. If you seek peace and quiet, and to cook your own meals, this is a good place. There isn’t much going on nearby, although there are a few cafés, coffee shops, and a bakery within a couple km of the apartment. If we are in that...

”My wife and I celebrated our 25 year wedding anniversary at the Quinta. It's location made it convenient to visit local museums, wineries and Churches. The location also allowed us to explore many nearby small towns for amazing meals and to meet lovely people. Porto is only ~1.4hrs by tollway, which is 90% of the travel. We highly recommend taking the train, just across the Douro in Régua, out to Pocinho for a relaxing lunch and walk around the quaint town before returning. The railway view...
