Sweet Spot
*The ONLY problem is not wanting to leave!!! All logistics/ practicalities on point... communications gracious, the location is perfect, this cozy cabins minimalistic 70s charm is highlighted by having all windows & decks so you feel connected to outside even inside!! Perfect & charming... We celebrated the Solar Eclipse here and can't wait to come back before the next one, lol!!!

Peaceful winter retreat in the Catskills
My wife and I and our two dogs had a wonderful week-long stay at Rainbow Ranch. We came up from the city for a peaceful place to work and relax. The home was perfect for our plans and had everything we could possibly need including blankets and all the kitchen necessities. We had beautiful snow on the ground for our first couple of days but felt cozy inside. We loved how much sun comes in through the many windows all day long and so did the dogs (chronic sunbathers!). We will definitely be back next winter.

I used to word "spectacular"
My wife and I have been coming to the region for more than 12 years. We have stayed at several different places but we think from now on, THIS will be "THE ONE". I tend not to use the word, but found myself thanking the owners by saying "everything was SPECTACULAR"! It is really the perfect out of the way place for a quiet vacation, but still close enough to the rest of things in the region. Your first day, you might want to arrive while there is still light, as the final turns can be confusing. Once you have done it though, it is actually very easy. There are so many positives to this place, I don't know really how to list them all. Beautiful kitchen, great fireplace, wonderful deck, comfy beds! Thanks for a great few days. We can not wait to return

Long weekend stay with friends
Overall experience was good, location is not too remote and convenient. One small thing to complain about was beds and sofa were not cleaned properly as we had saw animal hairs all over it. Other than that would definitely recommend the stay.

Perfect little getaway
Just a quick getaway from reality and it was just what we needed! Super clean, beautiful views everything was great! Hiking was really close by and we even explored the reservoir across the way. Catskill weekend
Great fireplace, comfy bed and couch, nicely laid out house. Good access, large deck, nice main bathroom, good tv and wifi. Newer washer and dryer- both large. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely hardwood floors. House is musty, peeling deck roof unsightly, large gaps between boards of deck, tripping hazard. Landscaping so wild that you can’t walk on some walkways. Must have been charming years ago.

This property is as advertised. Spectacular view. Clean. Amazing deck. Kids love the rope swing and outdoor dining and fire pit area. We had a wonderful time for the second time and will hopefully do it again!

We enjoyed our stay. It’s isolated but there are some local towns for restaurants, breweries, shops, and wineries. If we’re ever back in this area we’ll try and stay here again.

Perfect Catskills cabin!!
We stayed at Heather’s and Rolla’s house with our 6 year old son and had a blast. It was the perfect getaway for our family - we live in the city and needed a quiet and peaceful place to get away from city life for a bit. Their house is close to several hiking places that were just beautiful and only about 1 1/2 hours away from Legoland which we took our son to. I would highly recommend Heather and Rolla’s place and will look to stay there again in the future!

A peaceful getaway
The property was secluded with a beautiful view, but not far from amenities. Everything was clean and well stocked. Everything is as shown in pictures, except that the plants backing up to the deck could stand to be trimmed down a bit. It’s been rainy, so things grow fast! We enjoyed our stay very much and I would absolutely say the property is kid friendly if you properly supervise your little ones. Our 3 and 10 year old both loved it!

Wonderful Stay!
The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Spacious, clean and accommodating. Our daughter loved the swing and the views were great! The only thing I can think of to improve the stay would be trimming down the brush/trees in front of the deck for better views if the water. We will be booking again soon. Possibly a long weekend in the winter months. Thanks very much!! 5 stars across the board! Leesa,Matt and Bianca!

the most quiet , relaxing place Ive ever been, the down comforters are so nice and kitchen is well stocked to cook gourmet meal . great hiking trails near by. kaateren falls is spectacular. it was great to be able to bring the pup too. A true relaxing vacation

Fun and easy stay
Our family enjoyed staying at the house. It was easy getting to Bellayre to ski. Positives Kitchen was easy to cook in Our dogs enjoyed running around the property Beds were comfortable Shower was good but didn’t drain quickly Plenty of fired wood. Fireplace was great Deck looking towards river is great. Negatives Couch in living room is very uncomfortable. After skiing all day would be nice to relax on couch to watch tv/movie. Several blinds did not work in the bedrooms which really wasn’t an issue for us because we didn’t sleep in late. Would love to definitely rent again next winter

We loved it! Our dog loved sniffing around the property, the fireplace was perfect, and the deck is so incredible, even in the winter. One clear night it felt like we could see every star in the sky! Truly amazing.

Cozy winter wonderland
Spent ten days at the house to get out of the city and see nature in winter. I worked remotely and hiked in the area, and I had an ideal experience. The house was warm, cozy, and provided everything needed. I was able to cook a variety of meals and the Internet was flawless. Lots of natural light, nice views, and enough space in the yard to stretch my legs. At night, I gazed at the fireplace while watching a movie. The only downside is that the nearby towns don't offer much, and many of the shops within 15-20 minutes of driving have closed permanently. A little gem that I would recommend and love to visit again.

Amazing location and incredibly friendly owners
We went up for our first vacation together after 7 years, the location was beautiful, the views amazing, and the owners incredibly friendly and very very very quick to respond to any questions we had even during the stay! I wouldn't hesistate to come right back as everything was proper and clean, and things were thought out nicely. Can't think of a better way to spend a mini vacation!

Relaxation in the Catskills
We wanted a few days away with our dogs for some relaxation and we got just that. We enjoyed our stay and really liked the firepit fireplace and grill and were able to cook up some snacks and side dishes in the great kitchen. The dogs enjoyed laying on the big deck. Overall a very nice property and great getaway.

Beautiful escape!
My husband and I came up here with our two dogs and couldn’t have been happier! We grilled dinner, sat on the porch and had coffee at sunrise, and just relaxed! It was a bit too wet out to have a fire pit going, but we had a wonderful time! Will definitely go back!

It was difficult to find a great property when you have two dogs tagging along. Until now! My cousin and I had a great time with my dogs hanging around the campfire and watching football. Heather and Rolla have a great property here! Highly recommended!

A true "hidden gem"
This property is one of a kind and SO worth a stay !The home is not pretentious, it is as warm & welcoming as it looks,, and you feel free to make yourself "at home" the moment you arrive. The views are just gorgeous and the home especially charming. Our family was hoping to relax , play , explore and make new fun memories. Every item on our list was checked and then some. We had an incredibly comfortable and fun visit & hope to visit again someday.

Even better than expected
We feel very fortunate this conveniently located place was available for our dates for our beautiful fall foliage vacation. The pictures do not do justice to this very nice and cozy home. Everything was super clean and comfortable. The living area is huge and you get the feeling you are perfectly tucked privately into the quiet, peaceful woods surrounded by natural beauty. We appreciated the abundant supply of firewood and kindling when we enjoyed a campfire for toasting marshmallows in the outdoor fire ring and romantic fires in the indoor fireplace. The kitchen and bathrooms are very well stocked and everything worked well. The views from the living room and deck are spectacular! We highly recommend this home and hope to return.
