”There might be several reasons to stay at the Rack Shack. Ours was the location, not far from Fallingwater which we visited the following morning. Also, the modest price for an entire cabin was appreciated. Visiting from northern Maine we were right at home with the antlers and taxidermy. And if you look past the furry decor you'll see that the building is far from a shack....it's finished nicely, all buttoned up, clean and comfy. Quite secluded, with nice a outdoor area, along a dirt...

”We had a wonderful stay. The cabin's location & setting is great: surrounded by trees, no neighbors, easy drive to the lake and mountain. The house is well appointed: nice amenities and decor. The host is very responsive. Would come back if we return to Deep Creek! ”

”Extremely welcoming host, and we even worked out staying an additional night because we were having such a great time. I’ve stayed at Alpine Lake at several different properties, and this was the first one that provided keys to be able to use the indoor pool. It was the perfect space for our family of 3 and 2 dogs. ”

”This place was great for our little family (2 adults, 2 dogs). The room was nice and spacious. One hang up we did have was that the room we booked had adjoining room doors with the next cabin. Next time, we will be sure to book one of their single cabins. All in all, great stay and we enjoyed ourselves!”

”The main problem was the lack of privacy with the ceiling between the two bedrooms being wide open. You could literally hear someone passing gas in the other room., and we were just two women. I can’t imagine if two couples were there. Otherwise everything was clean and we enjoyed the stay.”

”This was my first outing with my boyfriend since we had our last child and it was everything we wanted just to reconnect with eachother. It’s secluded and gives you enough privacy to enjoy your time, the cabin brings you a sense of peace and calmness and the hot tub just adds the cherry on top to the perfect getaway! I enjoyed staying here very much and would definitely book again for longer especially to try out the many brochures the owner left for us to see. ”
