âExcellent refurbished hotel in the middle of the town. Free parking behind the hotel and attached nice restaurant in the same building. Bed was good and the bathroom just remodeled. Nice views from the room to the mountains! Only negative thing was the noises coming from outside (young people partying until 3am as it was saturday). Chiavenna was a beautiful town! Service was friendly, but often not so well functioning.. For example, we asked in the morning, if the restaurant is open for lunch. The answer was, yes the restaurant is open until 22:00. When we entered the restaurant at 14:10, we were told that lunch ended at 14:00 and only small menu is available. Still got something to eat, but...

âOverall is fairly nice for a 3 star hotel. The view of the lake at the restaurant is beautiful and that the complimentary breakfast was pretty good . The service from staffs is descent however they never delivered tissue papers as we had called to request â
âWe stayed in Gasthaus Alpina for one night on our road trip and it was a huge mistake: we should have stayed longer! Fabulous place, spectacular view, cosy and clean guesthouse, but above all was the level of service. We arrived late, but it was no problem for the staff. Sandra was ready to welcome us half an hour after the latest check-in time, and even served us a small meal. She made the stay probably the best ever. I can say that although I left Tschappina, my heart is still there.
