We recently stayed at Eden Lodge for several nights, and overall we had a mixed experience.
The Room
The room itself had a beautiful design and looked exactly like the photos — very stylish and well thought out visually. However, it was located directly under the restaurant/lobby area. Every morning we were woken up by the sound of people walking and, even worse, chairs being moved during breakfast service.
There were also a few practical issues:
There were no proper sleeping pillows on the bed, only decorative ones. We found one pillow in the closet.
The closet was covered by a drape and didn’t offer enough space for two people staying more than four nights. The hangers were too close to the safe, leaving little room for shirts or jackets.
There are no windows in the room, only a sliding door. During the day you can open it for fresh air, but at night you must keep it closed for privacy since staff walk by and can see inside if the drapes are open.
The small water tank for the shower runs out of hot water quickly.
The private pool outside the room was not heated. It was beautiful to look at, but not comfortable to use.
The Staff
The staff were incredible — truly the highlight of our stay. Both servers named Hamza were extremely accommodating and attentive, and the manager (whose name I unfortunately don’t remember) made us feel at home. Breakfast is included and every morning they took great care of us.
