”We had a memorable stay of two nights at the Quinta de S. Bernardo in Douro Valley. This inn is located in a fully functional farmhouse and vineyard, perched high on the slopes of Douro Valley mountains offering picture perfect views. We stayed in a room with river views and a plunge pool- it was beyond gorgeous. The facilities are immaculately maintained. ”Le personnel (Sylvia) etait tres gentille et accueillante. Il fesait quand meme frais lors de notre sejour et la chambre etait humide (il n’y a pas de ventilateur dans la salle de bain) et avons eu un peu de mal a faire monter la chaleur, mais au bout de qqes heures ca s’est placé. La vue est magnifique, hotel tres propre. Je recommande.”

”Spectacular scenery. Our room with balcony was great. We sat there in the evenings with some wine and just enjoyed the landscape. Couple OK restaurants in walking distance and several wine yards close by to visit by car.”

”Amazing place! Great buffet breakfast and also an option to have the breakfast on the barrel terrace. The only minus was that I was travelling with a friend and requested to have two separate blankets. There was an extra in the closet but no cover to it. When calling again to ask for the separate blanket we were broaght 4 extra sheets but still no cover to the extra blanket. (The barrels seem to be more for couples travelling but it would be nice if the hotel would accomodate for others as well...
