”The unit is renovated, with modern appliances, and bathroom, the bedding is confortable ans overall we really enjoyed our stay there! The location is perfect, 5 min walk to the Gondola and near the shops and restaurants while being just away from the noise.”

”Interesting and unique place ! The bed was super comfortable, slept great. Rooms very small and no extra frills, it worked for the main purpose, sleep, shower. Perfect place for travelers to meet and mingle. Mostly spent our time in Truckees many restaurants/bars or Northstar skiing. I would recommend if looking for a lil more affordable place ! Personally a lil pricy for a hostel, but its Truckee, tourist town and close to skii resorts, thats just the way it is !”

”The staff people were great. The food at the restaurant was great, the drinks even better. It's like staying at the pub in the Cotswalds country side, which was cool. Unfortunately, the rooms left a lot to be desired, especially at the price charged. The very, very squeaky bed, the windows with a ton of street noise, the shower/tub from the 1800s, which I thought was a period piece harking back to the pub idea, and essentially no friills everything. I've paid 1/5th the price at a basic Marriott...

”The location is excellent for skiing. Walk out the door to the lifts. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Great restaurants all within walking distance. Hiking and a bike path right there. Wish there were king beds. Only queen.”

”I've stayed at this location for over 50 years and I hate no microwave, now. There were only 2 shower towels and no hand towels with only one dinky little garbage can. Ice bath over a jaccuzi? Give me a break.”

”Outdated rooms need some updating but overall comfortable beds. If you are a smoker make sure you leave the property to smoke or you will get yelled at for smoking outside of the room on property. ”

”This place is overpriced, dirty feeling, dark, and staff assistance non existent. No wifi except piggy backing off the casino. The casino is a small and dingy as well. I do not recommend. 40 min from Reno with the fastest way driving back to 80 in Cali - Truckee.”
