”Rooms, halls and interior clearly have recently been updated and were pleasant. Exterior appeared older with less attention to updating (fresh paint?). Room we stayed in was very nice with a balcony view of a lake/bay. Exterior walls, railing and chairs on balcony were were not updated. Only conspicuous observation in room was a tub that was stained. While potentially an expensive update, I would replace the tub with a walk in shower. I would recommend this hotel to someone.”

”Sunset Lodge was perfect for our 2 nite stay! Staff was amazing and room was spacious and very clean. Comfy beds! Only thing was the traffic right outside made it a little noisy when standing or sitting on the front porch area, BUT it didn't hinder our sleep at all. The backyard space was nice, and not noisy; we were able to play frisbee. I would stay there again for sure. Kristi Stevens Point, WI ”

”Great overall but the rooms need an update, there for daughters softball tournament and rooms dirty and wall paper was coming off the wall and stains on carpets and had a weird smell not just in our room but the girls rooms too but the rest of the building was clean and nice and pool and hot tub were very clean food was great service and management were awsome just rooms need update”

”The bed was SUPER soft. Welles we got here there was a homeless drunk (the desk clerks words) passed out in the bench just outside the front door. DEFINITELY a turn off. We pulled in thinking that we should cut our losses and find a different motel. But we took the chance. The room was clean, besides the mouse poop behind the chair. The guy who check us in was SUPER NICE! He’s the about the only reason why we did stay. ”

”The listing was so accurate, however the wildlife in the backyard was more than I could’ve hoped for. Sitting by the fire (they even provided wood, love!) and watching deer eat and bats fly by and we even got a woodpecker visitor. It’s nice and quiet all around and only 15 minutes from bigger towns. Sucks it rained most of the time and couldn’t do much exploring, but I think that was the universe telling us to take a break and relax. Stacy is so kind, they even left cute little chocolate bars...
