”I loved the place and the town. The bed was very comfortable, and the tub was fun. What I liked the best was the house. There was so much to read and look at. I wish I had booked more nights. I will definitely stay again!”

”Operator-franchise owners are restoring an older hotel. In my room the hair dryer was partly installed and the older TV remote did not yet allow beyond one weather channel. But the room was impeccably clean,comfortable and provided at a reasonable rate. I discovered after proceeding on my trip that I had left my plastic dental retainers and knew exactly where tI had left them. Housecleaning staff were caring enough to set them aside and did not just throw them in the trash. I returned 5 hrs...

”I loved the character of the hotel! There is so much history and it is nice to know that the current owners are trying their best to maintain the hotel's quirkiness. The owner is a workhorse and is happy to share information about the hotel's history and places to visit in the area. The hotel has some themed rooms, but I stayed in a regular room, which was clean and very spacious. It would be fun to experience one of the themed rooms. Be sure to check out the plane in the front. ”The room was clean and comfortable for our stay. The bed was comfy, but not the pillows. I will bring my own pillows next time. The hotel was a good proximity to where we wanted to visit, which was "The House on the Rock" and "Cave of the mounds". It's also across from a nice supper club "Arthur's" . I recommend for a nice little weekend getaway.”

”I was warmly greeted at check-in and found the lobby to be well maintained. The room was well appointed and clean…as was the bathroom. The breakfast offered an array of choices that were fresh and appealing. Check out was easy.”

”The room was clean & comfortable. The stairs & porch needed cleaning. The room had no cup/glass for teeth brushing. Also it’s is above a coffee shop, but they don’t open on Saturday till 8 & 7 on weekdays, and there’s no in room coffee. I really needed morning coffee, but didn’t get it.”

”Liked right off highway - location great- staff was also great- however our window looking out was super dirty and actually hard to see out of - so needed to be cleaned in outside . Bed and pillows super comfy”
