Hotel was quiet and clean. Staff was very nice. There was no elevator to the second floor so be prepared to carry belongings up the stairs. We booked this hotel for the pool and hot tub. Pool was the coldest I have ever felt. Too cold to swim in! Hot tub water was hot but the jets didn’t work. Could have stayed somewhere else had we known the amenities were not working. Breakfast area was good and well stocked. Attendant was very nice.

Great place to stay overnight on our recent snowmobile trip to McCall. Liked the room as it had three queen beds and there were three of us so worked out well. The staff was nice and attentive to our questions. Would definitely stay again for a short trip to town.

The bed was very nice - no sagging spots or sloping towards the middle. I actually slept very well which is hard to do in a hotel. The facility is older but must have been renovated recently. Everything was nice looking and new feeling. Breakfast was very good too. Many options and clean. I will stay again.

Horrible Check In
I called this location the day before arriving to confirm our reservation, I asked if it would be possible to check in early and I was told we could check in at noon. We arrived shortly after noon and was told abruptly by the Manager that we could not check in and they tell “everyone” that check in at noon is a possibility but not for the room we booked. I told her that if I was told that a noon check in was a possibility and not a guarantee then I would have arrived at 3pm. She had a list of excuses and did not take any responsibility for the miscommunication. I returned at 3pm to check in and was told by the same Manager that my room was not ready and I’d have to wait another 30 minutes. She was not apologetic and left without informing the staff that I was waiting in the lobby to be able to check into my room. I waited patiently and was finally able to get into my room at 4pm. The service at the front desk was horrible and the Manager did not represent herself like a manager should.

Marie, all in all thank you for staying at our hotel and for pointing out our flaws during your check-in process. We never guarantee early check-ins, however we will always try. I hope you understand that when guests leave at 11am or even later, it makes it somewhat difficult to do noon check-ins. I will apologize for the miscommunication and mishandling of your check in. We do strive to have all rooms ready by 3.

Ok place, get breakfast somewhere else
Our room was clean and very minimalist. Yhe remodel in the bathroom was very nice. The one chair in he room was very uncomfortable. The pillows were awful. Breakfast buffet was cold gravy for our biscuits and cold sausages. Rather than risk food poisoning we chose to leave. We did speak to the desk clerk about that and they said the staff was having trouble keeping up with the crowd. They also said the food was ok because it was reheated and already cooked.

Thank you for your honest review Robert. Our deepest apologies if your experience with our breakfast was subpar. No it is not okay for our food to be cold. Risk of food poisoning is not there because our food is fully cooked by our vendors, we heat and serve.

We really enjoyed our stay at 3rd Street Inn. Comfortable beds, plenty of hot water in shower, cable tv in the room. Only negatives were trying to find wi-fi password and room not being ready by 3pm check-in time. I would stay at this property again on my next visit to McCall.
