”Had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful hilly, mountain-side hotel. The setting was serene and refreshing, but what stood out most was the exceptional hospitality from every member of the staff warm, attentive, and always ready to help. The breakfast was another highlight, with a wide variety of delicious options that made every morning special. A perfect blend of comfort, scenery, and genuine care. Highly recommended. Please work on your parking though.”

”Me and my wife really enjoyed our stay at the Onrock. Our visit was made especially pleasant by the gentleman running the reception. Warm, caring and friendly service all the way. The only downside was that for this pricerange one would expect an AC. There were two fans in the room, but both were so noisy that at least we could not sleep with them on. But other than that, very good experience all in all. ”

”Great little friendly hotel in beautiful Ella. Walking distance to town, restaurants and pubs. The hill Is a little steep to walk but if you find it hard you can get a tuk tuk for a couple of dollars. The room was clean and tidy and had a nice balcony. Staff really helpful. Totally recommend.”

”Best place in Ella. The Location was good close to everything. The room was clean and nice. When you arrive you will Be offered tea and cake. The owner was friendly and helpful. I recommend this place for everyone”

”Lovely place to stay. Beautiful view to the mountains and the sunrise was amazing. The hotel is located on the small road so the bigger cars are not able to drive there. However the tuktuk is easy way to get in there. The place is really quiet and the railway is going nearby. There you have an easy access to Ella rock and to the town. It took around 15min to walk to Ella town. There is not many places to eat in the evening near by but in the town there are many restaurants. In the dark I got the...

”Hotellille on helppo mennä. Tervetuliaisjuomana oli hyvin poikkeuksellisesti pieni suolainen keitto joka oli todella hyvää. Hotelli sijaitsee upealla paikalla, mahtavat näkymät yli vuorien. Huone oli siisti ja reilun kokoinen. Aamupala oli riittävä.”

”We were on our honeymoon and had been staying in very luxury places but we fancied something different for a couple of days which would be an experience that we would remember. To get to the resort you have to get a 4x4 ride which is very bumpy (but you are going into the jungle so what do you expect!). After about 20 mins you make it to near the bottom of the valley. We were then put into a small cable car with our luggage for the final part of the trip which took 5 minutes. This was a really...

”Great location, right next to the Main Street where all the restaurants and shops. The hotel itself is more of a guest house. Rooms are very basic - but very large. Can easily accommodate 4 people. Breakfast is either sri-lanken or western, they are very generous with the quantities. If you are looking for a 4/5 star hotel - it’s not the place for you. It is a low budget option for families who prefer that kind of experience. We enjoyed :)”

”Super ihana asiakaspalvelija aulassa, joka tarjosi meille aamupalan ilmaiseksi, vaikka se ei hintaan olisi kuulunut. Olimme aamulla lähdössä aikaisin seuraavaan kohteeseen ja respan mies oli tehnyt munakkaat, hedelmäsalaatit ja paahtoleivät meitä varten. Huone oli hyvin siisti ja tilava. Suuri parveke, josta kauniit näköalat vuoristoon.”

”The view was amazing at Belmont it was absolutely breath taking and the rooms and washrooms were very clean. The breakfast was good as well. The only caution to look out for it there’s bugs that come in the room at night through the door to the balcony if there’s so hidden spaces, but if u stuff a bag or something in those spaces it should be okay. ”

”We were very pleased with our 2-day stay. Despite the older facilities, the service level was excellent. We had the pleasure of Thushanthan helping us with both directions, tips and service — and he spoke our language as well! Overall, a great place to stay for a weekend in Ella. Could use a little touch up here and there, and perhaps a broader range in the breakfast buffet, but truly a great offer for the price. ”

”Majoitus oli hyvin perustasoa, huoneessa vain oleelliset tarpeet. Kävelyetäisyydellä juna-asemalta jos kulkee junarataa myöten, mutta päätietä kuljettuna pitää nousta mäkeä myöten hyvän matkaa ennen kuin mökit löytyvät. Majoituksesta teki ihanan omalle terassille ennakkotilauksesta toimitettu aamupala ja hyvin avulias henkilökunta, joka mm. pakkasi aamupalan meille mukaan paluun junamatkalle. Varsinaista respaa majoituksessa ei ole, joten henkilökuntaa on ajoittain vaikea löytää.”

”Jos haluaa yöpyä Ellan keskustassa edullisesti, niin tämä majatalo on harkinnan arvoinen. Meille se oli hivenen liian askeettinen. Siisteys on ok, joskaan 4 yön majoituksen aikana siivousta ei tehty kertaakaan. Huoneet ovat myös aika ränsistyneitä ja varustelultaan niukkoja. Huoneessamme oli fan, ei ilmastointia. Huhtikuussa pärjäsi kyllä fanillakin, mutta pieni kosteus ja tunkkaisuus olivat läsnä. Aamiaisesta pidimme paljon.”
