This hotel charged four times its usual rate because of a concert that weekend. Normally, rooms go for $65–75 per night, but I was charged $638 for two nights. The other nights during my stay were again around $75, which makes the price hike even harder to justify.
To be clear about my experience:
The internet was extremely poor and unreliable.
There were stains on the walls that were unpleasant and raised obvious questions.
If you’re planning to rest, this is not the place. You can hear everything from outside the room and from the street. The old window design lets in all the noise.
At night, you need to be cautious walking around the area, as there are many homeless people nearby.
That said, there are a couple of positives and the reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1: there was hot water, and the bed was clean, which at least met the bare minimum.
After seeing the photos and reading this experience, paying $319 per night for this place simply doesn’t feel reasonable.
