”The staff is friendly and helpful. We do not understand Russian so we translated our conversations. They are patient and tried best to help. The breakfast is incredibly good including everything you can think of, bread, pastry, hot dishes, fruit, milk, salad, and more. We are happy”

”Excellent customer service!! Everyone at the hotel are super helpful and supportive. My mom stayed at the hotel for 8 nights, she needed assistance with ordering transportation, bringing her breakfast to the table, opening doors. She has a broken leg and is forced to use a walker. Every person at the hotel helped her with a smile. Beautiful people! Thank you!
I would also like to mention the ease of booking and paying for the hotel. A lot of hotels in the area would not accept remote payments...

”Ok place to stay, although the age of the hotel can be seen. As in most hotels in Kazakhstan, keeping the breakfast warm is big challenge. Location is nice.”
”The Plaza Hotel is a decent place to stay in Almaty. The rooms are clean, well equipped and comfortable. The breakfast is good but not amazing but as it’s a buffet I’m sure there’s plenty there to satisfy everyone. It’s not the most central hotel but the area around is safe and the river makes orientating yourself in the city quite easy. Get Yandex Go the ex-Soviet equivalent of Uber and getting around costs next to nothing and is very quick and efficient. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!...

”If possible I stay in Rahat Palace when visiting Almaty. The location is good, rooms nice and spacious, although age can be seen. Lobby bar is nice and breakfast very good. Staff is very friendly.”

The rooms are out-dated, allmost without maintenance and during our stay we saw a major water damage in one of their suites. Hotel breakfast is very weak. This hotel could work for someone who just needs a decent room (warm water works normally) for a cheap price in a very convenient location and is ready to eat somewhere else.”

”Well, a little bit divided experience. I chose this hotel because it was one of closest to the airport, and it had free airport shuttle. Later I found out, that the free airport shuttle is for arrival only, but it's ok, especially when the driver was on of most effecive taxi drivers ever.
