Majatalot – Melanesia

”It doesn't look like much from the outside however when you get to your room is very spacious with a lot of amenities decent sized bed it is a little out from town but is very well connected with the local buses which cost 3 Solomon dollars each way”

”Disappointing Experience – Unreliable and Unprofessional Service The night before check-in, the owner unexpectedly questioned an already confirmed and paid booking. Upon arrival, it became apparent that the property had been double-booked and was unavailable. An alternative property was offered, but its condition and location were deeply concerning. Situated beside a junkyard, the accommodation was accessible only via several stairs leading to a small basement-style unit. Local residents also...

”Very helpful and congenial staff”

”Sandra, with the aid of Google Translate made us feel welcome and at ease straight away. The cottage we stayed in was quirky, very clean and well-equipped including free WiFi. Local facilities aren't so good, you'll definitely need a car and the local beaches aren't ideal for swimming or snorkelling but there is a pool to lounge in and around. Noumea is about half an hour drive away and there are some museums and things to do there. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay there...

”Nice, clean little place owned by the same operator as Kokopo Beach Bungalows (a much more fancy, and expensive, place to stay). Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Nancy. Great option if you are on a budget and wanting to go to the National Mask and Warwargira Festival, as they run low-cost shuttles to and from festival events and can help you arrange the tickets, There is also a Chinese restaurant onsite which has reasonably-priced food.”
