Thank you for the feedback John and apologies that the de-humidifier was full when you checked in. The housekeeping team empties them when they service the room. However since we are located in humid south florida we keep the machines on all day so that the rooms don't feel humid when guests enter their rooms and on more humid days they do need to be emptied twice a day. In terms of AC temperature settings we get many complaints that the rooms are too cold so it's really hard to gauge in advance.We hope to welcome you back soon!

Hello Crystal, our front door and windows are all hurricane proof and even though we added a film to all of our doors to minimize light penetration there is still some light that penetrates. We do have black out shades on the side of the building that faces east and west. For safety reasons the hallways need to be well lit and I truly aplogize that you did not have a restful night.

Yes indeed the hotel was originally built in 1953 when motels where all over South Florida. The property was purchased in 2011 and totally renovated and reopened as a hotel in 2014. We are a historic property and the signage through the property are replicas of the original signs. We look forward to your next stay with us Todd!
