”Air conditioning was not working. But luckily it cooled down enough at night to make it bearable. The room and the balcony were great as was the staff. ”

”The front desk staff were fantastic. I can’t say enough good things about them. The bar/in hotel restaurant however might have been the worst service I’ve ever had. It took over 20 minutes to get a simple drink, and another 40 minutes to get our food, which was wrong/not what we ordered. The server was very polite (I don’t recall her name), but the wait times and lack of attention to detail was abysmal. The hotel and stay were wonderful, but I would never eat or get a drink there if I come back”

”Very sheak and swanky hotel. Was a great getaway from our normal lives to have a great night out downtown. Definitely recommend to couples looking for a nice place to stay.”

”Beautiful property but there wasn’t extra toilet paper and Kleenex in the room and the bathroom shelf wasn’t secure. It was also pretty warm and we didn’t have individual control of our room temp. A mini fridge would have gone a long way. There was also no tea in the lobby. I would stay there again in the spring or fall. ”

The decor of the public area was exciting, it is a well preserved historic space and shows the old and the new. The Candy Bar is an adorable little bar with tasty libations and an always rotating cast of characters. ”What a very well maintained unique property right near Ford Field. Lobby was cool and rooms are a nice break from standard industrial furniture. Close to everything downtown.”

”Great property with just a few flaws. Parking is difficult to find currently with all the construction in the area (temporary) and while the rooms are nice the walls are super thin. You hear everything in the hallways and in the rooms next to you. Everything! Staff was great and while we didn’t win at the casino, it is super fun and Greektown offers tons of bars and restaurants right nearby.”

”The room was very clean. The hotel space in general seemed very clean However, the room had some weird random things- the faucet in the bathroom was loose and just kinda flopping around. The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall. And after REALLY looking at the bathroom I noticed the trim was painted EXTREMELY messily While NONE of this was an issue with the stay - I guess I just expect more for the amount that’s paid for the room.
