  • The cottage has been remodeled to offer all the essentials you would want for a perfect weekend getaway.

    Being an interior designer from Belgium, I've tried to furnish the cottage with a clean country feel, that is warm and inviting. It's not what you will find typically in the Middleburg area, as it has a more European feel to it, but it has been completely remodeled and offers everything you would need as if you were staying at a boutique hotel with a kitchen.

The area was surrounded by horses, Horse farms all around, which was lovely. Very quite and peaceful. Enjoyed my time there.

Owners learned that the router wasn’t working the first night and brought over and installed one the next day!! The cottage was very secluded and quiet… which is what we wanted and needed.

Tranquility

The property is located in a very quiet , peaceful setting. We enjoyed watching deer,horses and many birds.We found miles of gravel roads through scenic countryside to ride our bikes.Everything we needed was available at this property.

Awesome Location

Wife and I had the urge to get away from the city for a weekend. This place had it all, great space for two, and an unreal location from town. Will be coming back!

Bucolic

Charming guest house. Woke to several deer staring at my front door! Would move in forever if possible. The area was beautiful and peaceful. The drive in requires vigilance as road narrow and windy.

The house is cute tucked away in the woods very private. The house definitely needs screens on the windows. The HVAC works great and the water pressure was really good.However, the owner/host was quite challenging to work with. Make sure you're very clear with your requests or concerns upfront allow allowing lots of time to get answers from this owner. I asked from the get-go for an extended stay because I was just purchasing a new dog in the area and needed a little bit more time before I checked out. The owner was not not very supportive of allowing me to stay for even a half an hour or an hour later on checkout day... It caused me quite a challenge to check out on time. I won't stay there again.

Much needed retreat for recharge

This is our second time renting the cottage where we chose to celebrate our 5th anniversary and had the most amazing weekend relaxing and enjoying the peace and calm of the country. The location could not have been more convenient to the center of town since it only took us 10 min to be in the middle of shopping and restaurants. The cottage is perfectly decorated and has all the amenities you would want (high-speed internet, cable, fully stocked kitchen). We will be back.

We stayed here for 3 nights and unfortunately it was not worth the cost. The property is extremely remote and located down a gravel road.  The biggest issue was the smell inside the home. It had a very strong musky odor throughout our stay, and we actually had to purchase fragrance spray to make it more tolerable. The bedding was also very uncomfortable — the top sheet felt rough and almost like cheesecloth against the skin. For two adults staying three nights, we were only provided with 3 bath towels and 2 washcloths, which felt insufficient and they too were very tough in the skin. A bit of Fabric Softener is HIGHLY suggested. That said, Very cute little place to stay but does lack certain comforts. Did have a great AC, and water pressure in the shower, cute little outdoor patio (a grill would be great for out there) the surrounding areas is also beautiful and very private. If you’re looking for seclusion, peace, and quiet. This is the right place.
