For such a high cleaning fee, I did not expect to have to make the beds when I arrived, but did find it was in the fine print. The house is in decent condition, but having the furniture all covered with furniture blankets made it feel cheap. The heating was erratic(hot upstairs and cold down), and I was awakened one night with water noises, which turned out to be a flushing of the water system right...

”The problem wasn't the place itself, it was an old farmhouse that wasn't fancy but it was a good location with 3 bedrooms. The problem was having a 4 pm check-in and arriving at 4 pm and finding all the beds unmade, used towels still lying around, then having to use SMS text to communicate because the phone tree doesn't work and get you to a live person. This trades views of the scenery (which are great, but not from the hot tub) for privacy (which our group enjoyed). What the listing does not say is that the property is approx 3/4 miles up a 7% grade dirt road that is heavily rutted with mud. We made it work, but Vacasa (the property management company) remained very strict on their 10am departure and were unwilling...

”We loved it! Great location, close to the quaint town of Waitsfield. If you’re lucky with the weather and you have kids- amazing sledding hill! (We did insist the kids wear their ski helmets as it was long and FAST). Kitchen well supplied. The hosts were always helpful and responsive.”
